"What sort of animalistic behavior is that?!" Eva snapped, "Can't you see the way you're treating your sister?!"
Fiona's chest tightened, and her anger burned so fiercely that her fingers trembled. She pointed at Fallyn, who was still struggling to pull herself off the floor.
"Did you even ask her what she did?"
Eva's expression hardened, and she turned towards Fallyn.
Fallyn lowered her gaze slightly; she pointed back at Fiona.
"Mom…" Her voice quivered. "You saw how she was attacking me."
She lifted her gaze, tears glistening in her eyes.
"I don't know what came over her; she just suddenly went crazy."
Fiona's jaw dropped as her entire body went tensed.
"REALLY!"
Eva whipped around.
"Stop shouting!" she snapped, grabbing Fiona by the arm. "What the fuck is wrong with you."
Fiona stared at Eva's hand around her arm; for a moment something inside her cracked, and she swallowed the lump inside her throat.
"Okay, Mom."
