Tock!
The ball rolled across the manicured green, slowed towards the edge of the cup, and then it dropped cleanly into the hole.
"Clean hit." Jamel muttered, smiling, "I guess today isn't my day."
Manson winked at him.
"Maybe next time you will be so lucky."
Jamel rested the golf stick across his shoulders.
"Enough with the show-off. I'm just not in the right state of mind."
"Why?"
"Ahh."
Jamel exhaled sharply, his gaze drifting towards the distant fairway.
"Jay completely avoided me after we got back from the exhibition. Even while on the jet he snubbed me."
His grin tightened around the club.
"I think it's because of what we talked about over breakfast the other day."
Manson nodded once.
"He knows you're still with Luciano, and you know he's still in the closet. He wouldn't want to hook up with someone who's already taken."
"Damn it!"
"Isn't it just sex?" Manson asked, "If you're now into guys with muscles, just find someone else and get over it."
