For a second, Hazel just stared at her.
Then suddenly—she laughed.
Fiona's eyes widened.
"Hazel!" she protested weakly, grabbing Hazel's lap like an upset child. "Stop laughing!"
Hazel wiped at the corner of her eye, still smiling.
"Because that word sounds ridiculous coming from you." She leaned closer, her smile turning warm. "Fiona, you're a walking pornography. Any man with eyes can see that."
Fiona blinked, her cheeks warming slightly.
"You're lying..." she muttered, a small smile finally tugging at her lips.
Hazel smirked.
"I'm not." She crossed her arms confidently. "And I'm pretty sure Manson knows it too."
Fiona frowned.
"Then why does he always bully me?"
Hazel's smirk deepened.
"Maybe because teasing you is the only way he knows how to pay attention."
Fiona rolled her eyes, though the sadness in them had eased.
Hazel stood and grabbed her hand, pulling her up from the couch.
"Enough of this." Her eyes sparkled mischievously. "Go shower. We're going out."
