Michael took the warm, nutritious porridge that the nanny had sent over, poured a small portion into a bowl, and walked back to the bedside.
"I had a fever, but how did you find out so quickly?" Evelyn asked curiously, watching him approach.
Michael stirred the porridge with a spoon, raising his eyelids slightly to look at her. "The entire company knows."
Evelyn went quiet. Was it really that big of a deal? It was probably because she had passed out so suddenly that everyone panicked and made a scene.
"Open your mouth," Michael instructed, sitting down right by the edge of the mattress. He carefully blew on a spoonful of porridge to cool it down before bringing it to her lips.
Evelyn opened her mouth and took the bite. "Where are the twins? Where are Clara and Lucian?"
Michael fed her another mouthful, his voice calm and even. "They're over with their grandparents."
