Chapter 3:BORN INTO HATRED
All of them were shocked—stunned beyond belief at what they had just heard.
Some members of the Xuan Clan even fainted. Xuan Lei's expression darkened, killing intent surging from his body. Han Yun's face twisted with anger, her eyes filled with murderous intent. Xuan Feng Tian and his brothers reacted the same, along with Xuan Hong and Xuan Yi Chen. Only Xuan Zen stood there in confusion, while Elder Rou and the other clan members grew anxious, their expressions turning grim and hostile.
In that moment, Han Yun suddenly threw the baby to the ground.
The infant's head struck the floor with a dull thud, his forehead splitting open as blood began to flow.
"Mother! What are you doing?!" Xuan Zen cried, rushing forward.
Han Yun's voice was cold and sharp. "Don't touch that cursed thing!"
"Mother… are you okay? What are you doing?" Xuan Zen asked, tears streaming down his face.
Before he could reach the child, Xuan Hong and Xuan Yi Chen grabbed him and dragged him outside.
Elder Rou stepped forward, hes voice trembling but firm. "Don't be so cruel to the baby. I know the past, but don't treat him like trash. He doesn't even understand his own existence."
Xuan Lei's face twisted in anger, his fists clenched tightly. "Elder Rou, you would waste your cultivation for that trash?"
Elder Rou replied calmly, "Do not say that. This child's life is worth more than mine."
"How dare you say it so lightly?" Xuan Lei snapped.
Then he turned sharply. "Feng Tian, Han Yun—go to my room immediately and use this scroll."
He handed them a backlash-bypass scroll. He feared that if they did not act quickly, they would suffer consequences from the curse.
Feng Tian nodded. "Yes, Father."
He carried Han Yun toward Xuan Lei's room, with Han Ling following behind.
Xuan Hao stepped forward. "Father… what should we do now?"
Xuan Lei's voice turned cold. "We should burn the child and erase him before anything goes wrong."
Xuan Yin Ze and Xuan Hao both nodded. "That is the best decision, Father."
Elder Rou shook his head. "Don't do something you'll regret. Think carefully before acting."
---
Outside, Xuan Zen was still crying as Xuan Hong and Xuan Yi Chen tried to comfort him.
"Older Brother… why did Mother do that? What is happening?" Xuan Zen asked, his voice trembling.
Xuan Hong clenched his fists. "Little Zen… that baby you saw… is a cursed being."
Xuan Zen looked up, confused. "What does that mean?"
Xuan Yi Chen sighed. "Listen carefully. I'll tell you everything."
He began to explain.
"Years ago, when Grandfather Lei's wife—Grandmother Qing Mei—gave birth to Uncle Yin Ze, everything was normal. Later, she gave birth to Uncle Hao Chen, and still nothing was wrong."
"But when our father was twelve years old, Grandmother Qing Mei gave birth again… to the fourth son—Xuan Zhao."
Xuan Zen blinked. "What's wrong with that?"
Xuan Hong spoke in a low voice. "He was born with a hopeless existence."
"What is that?"
"A hopeless existence… is one of the most feared types of existence. People would rather die than be born like that. It is a cursed existence—useless, unworthy… a plague."
He paused, his expression darkening.
"And the worst part… the person who loves that cursed being the most… dies early because of it."
Xuan Zen's eyes widened as tears fell faster. "No… that's impossible…"
"Our grandmother, Qing Mei… died because of that curse," Xuan Hong said, his fists tightening.
Xuan Zen trembled.
"Back then," Xuan Yi Chen continued, "Grandfather and the clan wanted to kill Xuan Zhao immediately. But Grandmother refused. She said the curse was nonsense… that she would prove it wrong."
"She loved him deeply. She ignored all warnings."
"But when Xuan Zhao turned thirty… she began to grow weaker."
"Five days later… she died."
Silence fell.
Xuan Zen's tears streamed down his face. "That's… terrible…"
"Our grandmother was kind," Xuan Hong said softly. "She helped everyone in the clan. She raised it to what it is today."
Xuan Zen lowered his head, his shoulders shaking.
Then his expression hardened, grief turning into anger. "Grandmother…"
---
Inside the hall, Elder Rou spoke once more. "Is this truly your final decision?"
Xuan Lei replied coldly, "Yes. It is."
"Yin Ze, call Xuan Hui."
"At once!" Yin Ze rushed off.
Moments later, Xuan Hui arrived and bowed. "Clan Leader."
"I've called you here," Xuan Lei said, "to take this cursed child away."
Xuan Hui's expression darkened. "Why only throw him away? Why not erase him completely?"
Xuan Lei shook his head. "No. We don't know what might happen if we kill him. We cannot risk it."
Xuan Hui nodded. "Understood."
He lifted the baby by the hair and flew out without hesitation. The clan watched in silence as he disappeared into the distance.
---
Xuan Hui tore open a portal and stepped through it.
He arrived on a distant planet—far beyond Planet Xianhe.
Its name was Xerion.
As he flew across the skies, an Azure Dragon suddenly appeared, chasing him relentlessly. Xuan Hui teleported multiple times, barely managing to escape.
Then, without warning—
He threw the baby down.
The impact shattered the child's fragile limbs—arms and legs breaking instantly.
Xuan Hui descended, grabbing the baby by the throat.
"This cursed child… just like you, Xuan Zhao," he muttered, his voice filled with hatred. "I never thought our clan would produce such a disgusting existence again."
His eyes trembled, a mix of rage and sorrow.
"Maybe if I kill you… this curse will finally end."
Tears fell from his eyes as he laughed bitterly.
"Zhao… it's all your fault. You took everything from me. Mother Qing Mei… she saved my life… adopt me when my clan was wipe...raised me… made me strong…"
His grip tightened.
"You were the one who caused her death."
He pulled out a knife, his killing intent surging.
"I won't let that fate repeat."
At that moment, the Azure Dragon drew closer, and figures could be seen approaching from afar.
"Damn it…" Xuan Hui growled. "I'll end this now."
Without hesitation—
He stabbed the baby in face and body repeatedly.
Again and again.
Blood splattered as the child's body became motionless.
"Die…!"
Then, without looking back, Xuan Hui opened a portal and fled back to Xianhe.
Leaving behind a broken, bloodied infant on the desolate planet of Xerion.
