Chapter 5:THE ONE WHO SHOULD HEAR
Night had fully descended over Planet Xianhe.
Inside a grand hall illuminated by dim lantern light, three figures stood in quiet authority.
Xuan Hui stepped forward and bowed slightly.
"Good evening, Leader Lei… Elder Rou."
Xuan Lei and Elder Rou acknowledged him with faint nods.
"I've already disposed of the child," Xuan Hui continued calmly. "I threw him far beyond our planet. No trace remains."
Xuan Lei's expression did not change, but his voice carried quiet satisfaction.
"Good. That should have been done from the start."
A brief silence followed.
Then, with a flick of his sleeve, Xuan Lei produced a scroll and tossed it toward Xuan Hui.
"Take this," he said. "A backlash-bypassing technique. You'll need it."
Xuan Hui caught it instantly, his eyes flashing with interest.
"Thank you, Leader Lei."
"Go, before it's too late."
Xuan Hui nodded once more before disappearing into the night.

Elsewhere—
A soft knock echoed against a wooden door.
"Zen… open the door."
Inside the room, Xuan Zen sat silently on his bed, his small hands clenched tightly. His eyes were red, his face stained with tears.
"I don't want to…" he muttered.
Outside, Feng Tian's voice softened.
"I'll explain everything. Just open the door."
There was hesitation.
Then slowly… the door creaked open.
Xuan Zen stood there, his face filled with pain.
Feng Tian sighed quietly and stepped in. With the edge of his robe, he gently wiped the tears from his son's face before placing a hand on his head.
"Stop crying," he said softly. "Your father did what was necessary."
Xuan Zen shook his head, his voice trembling.
"No… that's not right. He was just a baby…"
Feng Tian's gaze darkened slightly.
"Yes," he said. "A baby."
He paused.
"But not a normal one."
Xuan Zen looked up.
"What do you mean…?"
Feng Tian sat down on a nearby chair, his tone growing heavier.
"Listen carefully, Zen."
The boy nodded and sat on the bed, his eyes fixed on his father.
"In this universe," Feng Tian began, "there are many kinds of existence. Most are ordinary… some are rare… and a few…"
He paused briefly.
"…should never exist at all."
Xuan Zen's breathing slowed as he listened.
"There are two types of existence," Feng Tian continued, "that no one would ever choose—not even in exchange for death itself."
"I would rather be tortured… than have that kind of existence."
Xuan Zen's eyes widened.
"What are they…?"
Feng Tian's voice lowered.
"Hopeless Existence… and Existence of Death."
Silence filled the room.
Xuan Zen swallowed hard, trying to understand.
"I've heard of Hopeless Existence…" he said quietly. "Big Brother told me…"
Feng Tian gave a faint nod.
"That's good. But what you know… is only the surface."
Xuan Zen quickly explained everything he had heard before—about suffering, rejection, and short lifespans.
Feng Tian listened, then continued.
"Those born with Hopeless Existence are rejected by cultivation itself. Their bodies weaken constantly… illness follows them… and their lifespan rarely exceeds thirty years. Their entire life is pain and suffering."
Xuan Zen lowered his head.
"…That's horrible…"
Feng Tian's expression turned even more serious.
"But even that… is not the worst."
Xuan Zen looked up again.
"The Existence of Death," Feng Tian said slowly, "is beyond comprehension."
"Those who bear it… are rejected by the universe itself."
"They should not live."
"They should be erased… the moment they are born."
A chill ran through the room.
Xuan Zen's hands tightened.
"…Then… the baby earlier…"
Feng Tian's eyes hardened.
"…is something even worse."
Xuan Zen froze.
"That child carries a corrupted origin… something that should never have taken form in this world."
"Compared to it, even Hopeless Existence is mercy."
Xuan Zen's breathing became uneven.
"No way… that's… that's too cruel…"
Tears began to fall again.
Feng Tian's voice sharpened slightly.
"Do not pity it."
"That Zhan… is the reason your grandmother died."
"And if that cursed baby lives here, something worse than disaster will fall upon us and our clan."
Xuan Zen's eyes trembled violently.
"…No…"
Hatred… confusion… pain…
Something began to twist inside his heart.
Feng Tian turned away slightly, his tone lowering once more.
"There are truths about those two existences… that I cannot even speak of."
"And I don't intend to."
He stood up and walked toward the door.
"Sleep now," he said calmly. "Don't think about it anymore."
He paused briefly, then added:
"If you need anything… call me."
Xuan Zen nodded weakly.
"Goodnight, son."
The door closed.
---
The room fell silent.
Xuan Zen sat alone on his bed, staring downward.
Tears still fell… but something else had already taken root.
Hatred.
Confusion.
And fear.
Far away, in a quiet jungle beneath the cover of night—
A child slept peacefully… unaware of the fate the world had already decided for him.
---
Morning arrived.
Luo Xin woke up and went to the baby's room.
"What a cute little baby," she said softly. "Don't worry, we will help you. We will do everything we can."
She gently touched the baby's face and head, then left the room and went to the kitchen.
There, she saw Zhao Xue cooking.
"Good morning, Sister."
Zhao Xue nodded. "Good morning. Eat now—we will leave early."
Luo Xin sat down and began eating.
Later, they were ready to leave.
Luo Xin carried the baby as she and Zhao Xue stood outside the house, smiling.
"Grandma, we're leaving now," Zhao Xue said.
"We..always miss you so much," Luo Xin added.
Then they began walking toward Jianyu City, where their main house was located.
When they arrived, people stared at the baby, while some men looked at Zhao Xue and Luo Xin.
"What beautiful ladies," one of them said. "Luo Xin is mine."
"Then Zhao Xue is mine," another joked.
Suddenly, their leader knocked one of them on the head.
"You foolish brat! Are you seeking death? Have you forgotten their other sister? Zi Xia?"
They immediately turned pale.
"We were just joking, boss!"
"Yes, boss!"
Their leader laughed, and they laughed along awkwardly.
Meanwhile, Luo Xin and Zhao Xue arrived at their home.
Luo Xin immediately went to her room and placed the baby on her bed, covering him with a cozy blanket.
"Rest now, baby," she said with a gentle smile before leaving.
She then sat down with Zhao Xue.
"I'll go find some herbs," Luo Xin said. "Can you take care of him?"
Zhao Xue nodded. "Of course."
"Thank you so much, Sister."
After a brief silence, Luo Xin added, "Even though I healed the baby, his wounds and scars still haven't disappeared."
"Don't worry," Zhao Xue replied. "I'll take care of him. You take care of yourself too. Don't come home late, okay? You know Sister Zi Xia—she'll scold us."
Luo Xin laughed softly. "I know, I know."
They both smiled.
"Alright, Sister, I'll go now."
Zhao Xue nodded.
Luo Xin stood up and walked away, while Zhao Xue watched her until she disappeared outside.
Then Zhao Xue headed toward the farm, where their other sisters was.
