Janice was quite speechless.
"I said it was a misunderstanding. Why won't you listen to my explanation?"
"Well, what about his help?" Christopher asked.
Janice said, "Didn't I tell you yesterday? I'm sure it was him who helped me. Why are you still asking me this?"
Christopher frowned while staring at her face for a few seconds, then asked, "Do you believe what he said?"
"This isn't a question of whether you believe it or not. This is the truth."
"The truth? The truth is that he lied to you. He's a liar." Christopher said angrily.
Janice felt that he was being unreasonable. "Christopher, can you stop talking like that? He's my boss. Please show some respect."
"It is because he is your boss so that I have to expose him. Don't you know what his real purpose is?"
He could tell that the expression in that man's eyes was clear.
"Christopher, what do you mean? Are you suspecting me of cheating on you?"
