Janice shook her head. "No, thanks."
Benjamin poured a cup of earl grey in front of her.
"I remember that you used to like drinking earl grey tea."
Benjamin sat opposite her.
Janice felt awkward. She refused to look at Benjamin's eyes and directly said, "Director Taylor, I have something to say."
Hearing her cold tone, Benjamin frowned. "Janice, I prefer you to call me as you used to."
Janice just looked down at the tea on the table.
"Well, what's the matter?"
Benjamin didn't insist.
Then Janice said, "I came to thank you."
Benjamin was quite surprised. He had not helped Janice at all yesterday.
He said with some shame, "I didn't do anything yesterday."
His words surprised her, but then she reminded herself of what Christopher had said last night. "Maybe the person who helped you doesn't need your thanks."
