Chapter 25 - Episode 25: The Moment He Lost Control

Trust had been chosen.

Publicly.

Irreversibly.

And that—

Had consequences.

Because the moment Sasmita stood for Aarav in front of everyone—

She didn't just protect him.

She challenged someone else.

And he—

Didn't take losses lightly.

Night fell heavier than usual.

The mansion stood quiet, its lights glowing softly against the darkness.

Everything seemed normal.

Peaceful.

Too peaceful.

Inside her room, Sasmita stood by the window again.

It had become a habit now.

Thinking.

Replaying.

Her decision.

His silence.

Their distance—

That somehow kept disappearing.

She exhaled slowly.

"Why you…" she murmured.

Because no matter how much she tried to stay logical—

She kept choosing him.

Elsewhere—

The plan was already in motion.

"No mistakes this time," the man said coldly.

The men nodded.

"Tonight," he added,

"we end this."

Back at the mansion—

The silence broke.

A faint sound.

Unusual.

Not loud.

But wrong.

Sasmita's eyes shifted instantly toward the door.

Her instincts—

Were never wrong.

She stepped forward slowly.

Then—

The lights went out.

Complete darkness.

Before she could react—

The door burst open.

Two men entered.

Fast.

Direct.

This wasn't intimidation.

This was execution.

Sasmita stepped back instantly, her mind moving fast—

Exit.

Distance.

Defense.

But this time—

They were faster.

One of them grabbed her wrist.

Hard.

"Move," he said sharply.

Her breath hitched for a second—

But her eyes didn't lose focus.

"Let go," she said coldly.

But they didn't.

Outside—

Aarav's phone lit up.

One message.

👉 "Target secured."

Everything changed.

He didn't think.

Didn't pause.

He moved.

Inside—

Sasmita struggled, trying to pull free, but the grip tightened.

This wasn't like before.

This time—

They weren't leaving.

The hallway lights flickered faintly.

Footsteps echoed again.

Fast.

Closer.

The men froze for a split second.

Because something about those steps—

Was different.

And then—

He appeared.

Aarav.

But not the same one.

His eyes—

Cold.

Not calm.

Not controlled.

Something else.

Something dangerous.

"Let her go."

The voice was low.

But it carried something—

That made even them hesitate.

"Stay back," one of the men warned.

Too late.

Aarav moved.

And this time—

There was no restraint.

The first man didn't even react in time.

The grip on Sasmita's wrist broke instantly as Aarav pulled her away, placing her behind him in one swift motion.

"Stay back," he said again.

But this time—

To her.

Sasmita froze.

Because she had never seen him like this before.

Not even close.

The second man lunged.

Aarav didn't block.

He ended it.

Fast.

Decisive.

Unforgiving.

The room filled with chaos—

But only for seconds.

Because this wasn't a fight.

It was control.

Absolute control.

The men fell back.

Defeated.

Not willing to continue.

Silence returned.

But it wasn't the same.

Because something had changed.

Sasmita stood behind him, her breath uneven now.

Not from fear.

From realization.

Aarav straightened slowly.

His back still facing her.

His fists—

Still clenched.

"Are you hurt?" he asked.

The voice—

Still low.

But not as controlled.

Sasmita didn't answer immediately.

Because she wasn't looking at the situation anymore.

She was looking at him.

"This…" she said slowly,

"…this isn't normal."

Aarav didn't turn.

Because he knew.

"You keep saying that," he replied quietly.

"But this time," she continued,

"you didn't even try to hide it."

Silence.

Because she was right.

Slowly—

He turned.

And when their eyes met—

Sasmita felt it.

That shift.

That side of him—

He had been holding back.

Until now.

"Who are you?" she asked again.

But this time—

The question carried something more.

Not just curiosity.

Something deeper.

A faint pause.

Aarav looked at her.

And for the first time—

There was no deflection in his eyes.

No calm.

Only truth—

Waiting.

But before he could speak—

Another voice echoed from the hallway.

"Enough."

Both of them turned.

The man stepped forward slowly.

Clapping once.

Mocking.

Cold.

"Impressive," he said.

His gaze locked onto Aarav.

"But now," he added softly,

"there's no hiding left."

The air shifted again.

Because this time—

It wasn't just about attacks.

It was about exposure.

And the truth—

Was finally at the edge.
