Chapter 21 - SEASON 1 | EPISODE 21: THE EYE OF THE LAW

The air behind the school was thick with the scent of rusted iron and old smoke. The lead gangster sneered, his heavy hand reaching for Aaryan's throat.

"System: Initiate Mirage Protocol," Aaryan whispered, his voice a ghost in the wind.

In a split second, the Level 1 Architect System bypassed the physical laws of the multiverse. Aaryan didn't just move; he fractured. To the gangsters, it appeared as if three identical versions of Aaryan suddenly occupied the alleyway. Before they could scream, the real Aaryan activated Invisibility Mode.

He became a phantom. The gangsters felt phantom blows—shattering ribs, snapping wrists, and precision strikes to pressure points. They were fighting an invisible power they couldn't hope to comprehend. Within sixty seconds, the entire crew was unconscious on the gravel. Maya and Kishor stood frozen, watching the bullies who had misbehaved with Maya get dragged into the light and dealt with by the "Invisible God."

"It's over," Aaryan's voice resonated from the shadows before he reappeared next to Vicky. "Go home."

The Investigator's Shadow

Hours later, a man in a sharp, charcoal-grey suit stood in that same alleyway. His eyes weren't looking at the ground; they were looking for the gleam of a lens.

"Who did this to you?" the man asked the groaning lead gangster.

"A... an invisible power," the thug wheezed. "Like a glitch in the world."

The man turned to his subordinate. "Check the CCTV on that corner building. Now."

Minutes later, he sat in a dark van, rewinding the footage. He didn't see the clones, and he didn't see the invisibility—the System had scrubbed the digital artifacts. But he saw Aaryan Sahu. He saw the boy standing calmly at the center of every major incident in the city.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a high-ranking Police Officer. "Sir, I have the subject. He's the common variable."

"You are my best Undercover Operation Specialist," the Officer replied. "Tell me, who is he?"

"I'm meeting him for chai today," the specialist said, a cold smile crossing his face. "I need to see the boy in his own sanctuary before I move in."

The Unexpected Guest

Aaryan sat in his living room in Bhilai, his AMD Ryzen 5 laptop open as he checked the latest "Jarvis" script updates. The door knocked. A man stood there, smiling with a false warmth that Aaryan's System immediately flagged as a "Level 4 Social Deception."

"How are you, my boy?" the man asked, stepping inside.

"Who are you?" Aaryan asked, his voice a flat line, his blue-tinted eye scanning the man's vitals.

"I am an ACP and an Undercover Operation Specialist," the man said, sitting down uninvited. "I want to ask you many things, Aaryan. Like why you were in the school during the terrorist attack, at the bank during the robbery, at that night party with the gangsters, and today... behind the school."

Aaryan didn't flinch. His "Ayanokōji" discipline held firm.

"I was at school for learning when the attack happened," Aaryan replied calmly. "I went to the bank to deposit money I earned from my part-time freelance scripting job. Vicky invited me to the party. And today, I was helping a friend's sister. I am a student. Why am I being questioned for being a witness to crimes?"

The ACP leaned forward. "Because you aren't just a witness. You are the only person who is everywhere when bad things happen. You have all the evidence, Aaryan... but I get the feeling you're writing the script."

"Do you have proof?" Aaryan challenged.

"Not yet," the ACP stood up, adjusting his jacket. "But I will get it very fast. Don't worry—if you're innocent, I won't do anything."

"May I leave?" Aaryan asked coldly.

"Yes, Sir. You can leave for now."

The North-South Quest

Once the officer was gone, the room felt smaller. Simran rushed to his side. "Why was he questioning you? Aaryan, this is getting dangerous."

Riya, the System manifestation, remained silent for a long time. Her digital form flickered with static. "Aaryan... those previous events were System Quests. But today's fight... that wasn't. You acted outside the protocol."

"I have to become more invisible," Aaryan muttered. "I need to stay in the dark."

Suddenly, a holographic screen erupted in front of him.

[NEW QUEST: PROTECTION] [OBJECTIVE: PROCEED TO COORDINATES 800M NORTH-SOUTH.] [TARGET: SAVE THE ACP OFFICER.]

"What the hell is this, Riya?" Aaryan demanded. "The man is hunting me, and now I have to save him?"

"I didn't generate this," Riya said, her voice trembling. "This quest is automatic. It's the multiverse trying to maintain balance."

Aaryan looked at his SC Coin balance: 1,111 SC Coins. He didn't hesitate. He opened the System Shop and purchased a [Identity Masking Magic] for 900 SC Coins. It was a steep price, but it was necessary.

He arrived at the location twenty minutes early, shrouded in the new magic that blurred his facial features to any observer. He waited in the shadows of an industrial warehouse. Finally, the ACP's car pulled up.

Almost immediately, a fleet of black SUVs surrounded the officer. The gangsters from earlier had called in reinforcements—true professionals this time. The officer stepped out, drawing his weapon, but he was outnumbered ten to one.

Aaryan watched from the rafters, his invisible hand hovering over the "Initiate" button. The hunter was about to become the prey, and only the "Invisible God" could decide if he deserved to live.
