Chapter 23 - Paternity 03

"I think she went to the bathroom" Renelle simply replied to the dean of medicine of the hospital.

While Renelle was talking to Meredith she kept her attention on her illusion clone. And when she had the opportunity she simply made her clone slip away and canceled its existence.

Renelle still maintains amazement with this -technology- of using energy to transform light into a physical entity.

In her past life she could only absorb energy and use it to help or destroy on contact.

Only in her last moment when she practiced and managed to expel a large amount of death energy, with many previous attempts, out of her body creating a chaotic storm of death energy around her to absorb and destroy everything and thus take those unwanted people with her.

But now, her body seems to have been unlocked and her energy control is freer and she can almost call it magical.

Renelle's mind is also more awake and open with a mental agility and processing multiplied N times.

But even so, for Renelle it is still a mental and energetic exhaustion to maintain an illusion clone to do an ungrateful job.

Helping patients heal their ailments is ungrateful? NO.

But helping idiots is something that tires. So Renelle simply vanished the clone in the locker room. But it seems she has to reactivate it.

"I will take care of House later. By the way. Shouldn't you be at school?" Cuddy looked first in one direction, the one of the bathrooms and then as if thinking something she returned to look at Renelle lowering her gaze.

Renelle realized this and in some way felt dissatisfied. But she cannot do anything with her height.

Then, her mind understood the other thing.

'School?' "School?" Renelle responded.

"At this time the elementary school students should be getting out, right?" Meredith's voice made Cuddy turn to see her and notice her presence for the first time.

"Who are you?" Cuddy said.

"Ah! Me. Hello, my name is Martha M. Masters, I am. I am taking first semester in the medical school..."

While Meredith introduced herself, Cuddy observed her with understanding. Cuddy looks at her outfit from head to toe. Noticing the tag on the young woman's blouse.

Cuddy also told herself in the medical books. Upon hearing that the young student said she studies in the first semester and looking at the covers of those books, Cuddy frowned.

In just an instant and thanks to her vast experience in dealing with people and society, Cuddy was able to analyze the young girl and became interested in her.

The way of dressing, the hairstyle, her way of expression and interpersonal skills along with the advanced medical books told Cuddy that this girl is not common.

The words -Nerd- and -Genius- passed through the mind of the hospital dean.

"... I could not leave a little girl alone outside, although we are in the university it can be dangerous." Meredith finished saying with a sigh of exhaustion from talking so much. She talked so much that she almost ran out of breath but in the end she explained herself completely before the mature woman who was in front of her with an elegant bearing and full of professionalism.

The young girl admires this type of women who are strong and with a commanding voice but at the same time fears them. It is as if she saw in the mature woman in front of her her own mother.

"What were you doing outside?" Cuddy stopped looking at Meredith and directed her gaze toward the little golden-haired girl.

"I went to the library and ran into her on the way back." Renelle only responded.

But Renelle's mind was reconnecting with her energetic imprint on the cane.

A Gregory House middle-aged man with incipient beard, messy hair and some gray hairs on his head and beard came out of the hospital staff changing room and limping took direction toward the hospital lobby.

Renelle wanted her adult and male version to arrive so that nothing like going to school would be heard again.

In her life Renelle wants to repeat something bad like going back to school.

Just when Cuddy turned around upon hearing the characteristic noise of a cane hitting the hospital floor. A beep was heard attracting everyone's attention.

*bop, bip, bip, bip, ~ *

Both Cuddy and Meredith and other passersby looked at the little golden-haired girl.

Gregory House remained paralyzed. Then he advanced just when Renelle took out a small black device from one of the pockets of her white cardigan.

"You... House, why does this girl have your pager?" Cuddy suddenly realized.

"I left it with her for a moment. She is my patient. Doctor, you would not want me not to attend an emergency of my patient right? Let's go!" House first acted as if it was not important, then made a face at Cuddy and finally said a clear and strong let's go that was not for Cuddy.

Renelle took the initiative and advanced with firm steps. And, Meredith also as if the let's go was for her too.

Renelle realized it, but she was not going to say anything now. Using the adult House was the plan to get away from the dean of medicine. Renelle always feels uncomfortable being in front of Lisa Cuddy while having feelings and memories that are alien but her own.

Renelle still does not know how to treat these people who seem to be the closest to him but at the same time seem illusory like her own illusion clone.

With a *tac, tac, tac, tac* rhythmic sound of the adult House's cane accompanied by the quick steps of the feminine heel of two girls, Renelle, a university girl and a material illusion arrived at the elevator just when it opened by coincidence.

Renelle does not know what emergency there is with her patient, a high school boy with night terrors. But it should not be anything serious, the current study is a sleep study that should not represent any threat to the patient.

Besides, the pager was activated by a call from Cameron and not from the official hospital phone.

The patient's room is not on an upper floor but on the ground floor. But Cuddy does not know that so she did not say anything when she saw House heading toward the elevators.

When Renelle, an illusion and a young girl arrived at House's office next to the medical diagnostics consultation room, his team of three specialist doctors was sitting at the conference table with infinite sheets of paper analyzing the data on it.

"House!"

"House, we have the results. It seems that the patient suffers from a real night terror" Foreman pointed to a section of the long paper on the table.

House, the adult, and Renelle and a university student approached.

House took the paper and pulled it toward himself so that Renelle could see it.

Meredith peeked from the side. But she could not see anything among the data written on the paper that were only some lines similar to those recorded by a seismograph.

But Renelle is very different, before her eyes many analyses passed and she compared records in her memory with this record in front of him.

Then, she thought of a possibility but she had to be sure.

Continuing to control the adult House, Renelle left the conference room alias medical diagnostics department again with another -let's go-.

Now, Renelle is not only followed by her illusion clone and a young university girl. But three more young doctors with different specialties.

"You are?" Cameron, who noticed the young copper-haired girl the most asked.

But Cameron looked between Meredith and Renelle and then at House as if trying to compare something.

"Oh! Oh. Hello, I am Martha M. Masters..." then Meredith introduced herself again. But she was interrupted.

"Masters? Are not you another daughter of House?" Cameron said suddenly.

Then Renelle stumbled. The small impact of Cameron's words made her lose a moment of her mentality and also lost a little control over the illusion clone.

The adult House also stumbled but the cane remained fixed to the ground.

"No, no, no. I, I have my parents... I..." Meredith shook her head like a rattle and started to explain herself.

Foreman and Chase were sweating cold but at the same time they admired Cameron's way of thinking and her guts to ask that question in the presence of the boss.

After listening to Meredith's words, then everyone noticed the books she was carrying in her arms hugged to her chest. Then everyone felt admiration for the young first semester medical school student and future colleague.

And at the same time the three young doctors experts in different areas thought the same.

' At the beginning of her school stage as a medical student taking the initiative to befriend a great world-renowned doctor by approaching his daughter... What a cheater! '

But they also reprimanded themselves for why they had not done it before!

Then they realized that they already worked under House's tutelage and breathed with arrogance and triumph. Without a doubt this is a great merit in their curriculum.
