The first morning in Jeju arrived with bright sunlight spreading across the ocean.
By the time everyone reached the beach location, the sky was already clear and blue. Gentle waves rolled toward the shore while the wind carried the refreshing scent of saltwater.
It was the perfect setting for their first photoshoot.
Each team quickly moved to the section of the beach they had chosen earlier. The locations weren't far from one another, but they were spaced out enough to allow everyone to work without interrupting the others.
Clothing racks were set up on the sand, cameras were mounted, and reflectors were placed carefully to catch the sunlight.
Meanwhile, the cooking team had already finished their work for the morning.
Under a large umbrella, coolers filled with snacks and drinks were placed on a foldable table.
"Anyone can come grab food whenever they want," Eunseo said while arranging the drinks neatly.
Nari leaned comfortably against the table.
"Best role in the entire project."
Haerin laughed.
"You mean easiest."
"Exactly."
After a moment, Eunseo looked toward another section of the beach where Team Two was working.
"I think I'll go watch their shoot."
Nari immediately pushed herself off the table.
"Then I'll come with you."
Eunseo shrugged casually and started walking toward them.
Haerin waved lazily.
"Go ahead. I'll join my roommates."
With that, they split up.
Team Three
Near a rocky section of the beach, Team Three was already preparing their shots.
Dahye stood behind her camera, adjusting the lens while checking the lighting carefully.
Park So Hyun stood near the rocks wearing the outfit Yerin had designed.
Yerin was focused on making final adjustments.
"Hold still for a second," Yerin said.
So Hyun nodded obediently, standing still as Yerin reached behind her to fix the zipper.
The wind had slightly shifted the fabric, so Yerin smoothed the material across the waist before adjusting the collar.
"Turn a little," Yerin said.
So Hyun turned slowly.
But instead of focusing on the instructions, her eyes remained on Yerin's face.
A small smile stayed on her lips.
Yerin didn't seem to notice.
She was too focused on the outfit details.
A few seconds later, Haerin arrived, walking across the sand until she stopped beside Dahye.
"So this is your setup," she said cheerfully.
Dahye didn't respond.
Her eyes were fixed on Yerin.
Yerin had stepped closer again, adjusting the strap of So Hyun's outfit.
So Hyun laughed softly at something Yerin said.
Her gaze lingered.
Still smiling.
Haerin continued talking beside Dahye.
"The lighting here is really good. I think this might be the best area on the beach—"
Dahye still said nothing.
Her eyes remained on the scene in front of her.
Yerin brushed a bit of sand from the hem of the dress.
So Hyun smiled at her again.
Dahye's lips slowly curved upward.
The smile stayed there.
But something about it looked… strange.
Thin.
Quiet.
Almost unsettling.
Haerin glanced at her.
"…Are you listening?"
Dahye raised her camera and looked through the lens.
Still smiling.
But the smile didn't quite reach her eyes.
Team Two
A short distance away, Team Two had already started their shoot.
Min Ah stood near Jiyeon, adjusting small details of the outfit while explaining the styling concept.
Jiyeon listened while casually brushing her hair away from her face.
Behind the camera, Yu Na checked her settings carefully.
Her movements were calm and precise.
Meanwhile, Eunseo and Nari arrived and settled nearby to watch.
Eunseo sat quietly on a rock while Nari stood beside her, arms folded comfortably.
The shoot began smoothly.
"Lift your chin slightly," Yu Na said.
Jiyeon adjusted her pose immediately.
"Like this?"
"Yes."
Min Ah stepped forward again to fix a wrinkle on the sleeve.
Jiyeon smiled playfully.
"You're very serious today."
Min Ah laughed softly.
"It's work."
When she stepped back, her eyes briefly moved toward Yu Na before quickly looking away again.
Yu Na continued adjusting the camera, completely focused.
Her expression remained calm.
But when Jiyeon stepped closer to ask something about the pose, Yu Na hesitated slightly before answering.
Jiyeon didn't seem to notice.
To her, Yu Na had always seemed like a quiet person who preferred focusing on work.
She simply assumed that was her personality.
Meanwhile, Nari stood beside Eunseo, casually watching the photoshoot.
After a while, she spoke quietly.
"You picked an interesting team to watch."
Eunseo didn't immediately answer.
Her eyes stayed on the shoot for a moment before she finally replied,
"I just wanted to see how they work."
Nari hummed softly.
Then she smiled to herself.
Eunseo might think she was hiding her thoughts well.
But Nari enjoyed observing people.
Especially Eunseo.
Still, she didn't say anything more.
The waves continued rolling toward the shore.
Cameras clicked.
Models posed.
And the first day of their Jeju photoshoot continued under the bright morning sun.
