Why Fer? Why? This was the question that filled Kine's head. Kine left the corridor in tears but being pretentious that everything's fine.
Di (worried) : Don't worry everything's gonna be alright, just you wait. I'll talk to him when he calms down.
Fer couldn't just believe what just happened, Their friendship, Kine and hers snapped in a moment
Di (pacifies) : Everything's gonna be alright. Just give him some time.
Fer drowns in the thoughts of the past she had spent with Kine
Flashback : Kine's interview day, Kine sat nervously outside the principal's office
Fer (smiles) : Good morning, here for the interview?
Kine (nervous yet pretends to hide it) : Yeah...
Fer (reassures) : Don't be nervous, the management isn't that scary. Just be confident and you're there with flying colours.
Kine : Thanks for the encouragement..….
Staff (interrupts) : Mr. Kinematics, you're being asked for.
Fer : Good luck
Kine goes in, the interview went well and all he remembered was Fer's words. After the interview, Fer and Kine bumped into each other again.
Fer : Hey, how was it?
Kine : It's gonna be a long way together with you. I'm Kinematics by the way, if we are close in future you can call me Kine.
Fer : I'm Fervour and you can call me Fer if the same happens. (Both giggles and then leave)
For a few days Kine was adjusting to the environment, though it was difficult, he somewhat kept up. Keeping his head down while sitting on a bench, Kine felt a soothing, warm and kind pat on his head. He looked up to find a person with a charismatic aura, a father-like figure, kindness glimmering in his eyes.
Bimu : You don't have to always pretend to be fine, sometimes expressing what you actually feel might lessen that burden.
Kine : Thank you so much, (thinks, this was what I wanted to hear at this very time)
Fer : Doesn't having a father figure like him really cool?
Kine (smiles) : Yeah, indeed.
Bimu : I've spent decades in this education industry. I know it's difficult in the beginning but soon it will be fine. Okay take care then. If you need anything, be it any kind of help or support, we're here for you. (Bimu leaves for some work)
Fer : So how are you my friend, any better?
Kine (chuckles) : Friend, huh? So do you make anyone your friend or do you have any other intentions? (Kine gives her a playful smirk)
Fer : Hey you, first of all I wanted to make you cool to this place, secondly and most importantly, I'M MARRIED, I have a son and a very happy family. Don't even think of doing anything weird.
Kine (raises both his hands in surrender) : I give up teasing you. (chuckles)
Days turned weeks and weeks turned months. Kine and Fer's friendship grew stronger and stronger over time and was nurtured by time and work. Not long after, Fer became a confidant for Kine. Kine was very open to Fer, sharing each and every bit of his life, even his liking for Di since college, his wife cheating on him and high expectations of people around him. It was all because of Fer, Kine made friends and was comfortable in this school. Sharing every little moment of joy, Kine finally found himself a best friend.
It's been three years since Kine joined the school. As usual after school Kine went to the reception area to say goodbye to everyone, he saw a guy probably there for an interview. Kine somehow felt a familiar aura that surrounded that guy who was nervous about his upcoming interview, he sat, burying his head in his bag. Nevertheless, Kine went up to him.
Kine : Good afternoon, don't worry the people sitting in there are really good though...(pauses)
The guy looks up straight into Kine's eyes. His soft gaze intoxicated him. Both of them lock their stares on each other until...
Fer (clears throat) : Ahem! He's right, there's nothing to worry about. Just trust your guts.
That Interviewee (grateful for such encouragement) : Thank you so much both of you. (Smiles)
Fer kind of drags Kine away from that guy
Fer (whispers) : Too brave of you to drown into those cute, glimmery eyes. Weren't you loyal to that senior of yours, what was his name again.... ummm... (a bit loudly) Yeah Dipole
Kine covers her mouth, silence fills the place.
That Interviewee (confused) : Did you guys call for me?
Fer (calms herself and speaks to Di) : No no no we were just fascinated by your name nothing else. (whispers to Kine) No no this can't be... how can someone be so lucky?! Like for real, he's the one. He is sooooo cute!!!
Kine (serious, warns) : Don't you even dare.
Both of them move out of the reception area, while Kine tries to get the last look of Dipole before leaving.
Fer : Shall I pull some strings to get him in?
Kine (calmly) : There isn't a need to do that, he's capable enough to get himself in here, if he wants to....
Fer (teasingly) : Oho, someone's proud of their crush huh.... (Jostling him with a light shoulder bump)
Kine shy, runs away from her. Fer couldn't help but grin at him.
Di got in, None could match Fer's joy. Kine's heart brimmed with delight, yet Fer's own spirit soared higher still, beholding her dearest friend be with the one he had long desired at last.

Before the announcement of selected candidates for HOD position. Fer walks by the library to see Henry talking to Mr. Jacinto
Henry (badmouthing) : Mr. Jacinto, have you seen that new Physics teacher that came in this year, the one who sticks to male teachers, you know he's gay.
Jacinto (furious) : How can the school even take in faggots like him, they should be kicked out from the school,no not just from the school but the society.
Fer (thinks) : His mindset is as pathetic as he is, still refusing to accept society's changing dynamics. What else to expect from these homophobes?
Henry : And do you know who is he with? (Jacinto makes a face while guessing) It's....
Fer (hastily interrupts) : Mr. Jacinto, Mrs. Usina is asking for you.
Jacinto : Is she? Has she got none other to pester? (Jacinto leaves with a sigh)
Fer (coldly) : Stop spreading rumours without any proof.
Henry : You think this was baseless, here take a look.
He shows her Kine and Di's photos together, first one holding hands, second one sticking close drowned in each other's eyes, the third one they almost kissed in the staff room. A queer thought ran into Fer's mind, she wasn't worried that Henry had those photos but was envious why she didn't have those cute pics.
Henry : I know what you are thinking, you're thinking of deleting them aren't you, but you know what I'll not let that happen. (Snatches back his phone)
Fer (calmly) : Do whatever you want as if other than those backward ancient hags would anyone believe all of this.
Fer walked away in full confidence but her heart knew all her panic, she ran to find Di as soon as possible.
Fer (catching her breath) : Di.... Listen up.... I'm warning you to be careful....
Di : Ms. Fervor please first catch your breath. That's more important right now and be calm and tell me what is it?
Fer : Listen, Henry showed me some really awesome, (fangirling) cute and adorable pictures of you and Kine together which is indeed good stuff (serious) but in the wrong hands, so just reject him no matter what....
Di : But Fer you know it all, I can't…
Fer (sad and understanding) : If you truly love him, just do it. I know Kine is not going to listen to me at all but that would throw him straight into the ditch of troubles, it's only you on whom I can rely on.
Di unwillingly gives in, in Fer's plans. It was all good going until she heard about them, worried and panicked, she confronted Di but Kine misunderstood the situation

Marduk : Ms. Fervor?! Wake up from your day dreaming. Wait! Are you crying? Like for real. Why? Did someone say anything to you? I'm sure it would be Kine, that guy is surely up to no good always troubling you....
Fer (wipes her tears) : No it's not his fault. It's actually me who is a bit meddlesome.
Marduk (comforts) : We all know you care about all of us, it's just that kids these days don't get all of this. But no worries everything's gonna be alright.
Fer : Hmm
