He turns back and sees shattered glass pieces behind him then looks at his saviour, eyes filled with worry to death for him.
Worker 2 (to Worker 1) : Didn't I tell you to be extra careful!?
Fortunately no one was hurt. There's a sigh of relief around. Di frees himself and runs out of the mall, all red. Riv turns to Kine and smiles with gratefulness, Kine smiles back. Di holds Riv's hand and rushes back home. Riv is somewhat happy for Di, at least she got to see an MOC on her birthday. Back home, Riv sits on the sofa beside Di's mother while Di rushes to his room. Di's mother questions Riv.
Riv : An accident happened in the mall we went to, but thank goodness no one was hurt.
Di's mother didn't show much concern. The day passed normally.
The next morning (Monday),
Di marked his attendance and was to leave. His eyes met Kine's but showing no concern, he walked past him. The day went on with no talks between them. However can they really avoid one another?
Fer : So... What now?
Kine : Just holding on.
Fer : Remember this you'll soon become an HOD, so no slacking, no distractions, full focus. Alright?
Kine (already distracted by Mr. Aether's hand on Di's shoulders) : Ummhmm
Fer goes on giving him motivation but will Kine pay attention to it? Irritated Fer turns Kine towards herself hastily
Fer (furious) : Are you even listening?
Kine : I am (turns again to that side but what's that! Aether's hand shifting to
Di's waist) Call Mr. Aether here right now.
Fer : Who do you think I am? I....
Kine (pleading) : Please....
Fer (unwilling) : Mr. Aether did you complete the report writing for the week?
Ms. Fervor and Mr. Aether went on to discuss the report, meanwhile Di stood there with Bimu and Kine stood at a distance laying his eyes on Di. A few days have passed without any interaction and even when Di tried to ask Kine something work related he would ignore or escape the scene. Soon it was Saturday, the teachers' meeting with the Director. Kine and Di both as Physics teachers had to attend it together along with a few more junior physics teachers. In the meeting, Di intentionally sat with the junior teachers leaving Kine alone.
Director: So I hope you all know the propaganda of today's meeting
Everyone : Yes Sir.....
Director: Mr. Kinematics, Mr. Dorian and Mr. Henry could you just come to the front of the room. (Kine and Henry move) So these three have been nominated by the school board for the post of Physics HOD. So next week the results will be announced based on the anonymous votes done by the Physics teachers. Moreover...
After the meeting ended, teachers congratulated Kine, Dorian and Henry. Kine hopes the one to congratulate him but of course there he is at some distance talking unwilling to Mr. Aether. Next week passed smoothly, Kine on high alert not to land in any trouble. Students as usual not liking the Physics subject yet bearing, unknowingly Kine's behaviour turned a bit mild. As earlier he wasn't too friendly nor stern. Finally it was the result day. It was all obvious who was to be chosen, this wasn't even a competition at all. Kine was called to the chairman's office. The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Director and the Principal handed over his HOD desk plate and took pictures. While others waited in the Mr. Kinematics umm, Mr. HOD's new office. Kine entered his new office to find Di, Fer, Marduk, Bimu, Aether, Luan and Ms. Sushimi waiting just for him. The celebratory mood filled the air, everyone congratulating Kine and again there he was. He waited until it was just Kine, Fer and him left.
Di : Congratulations..... I....(Looks at Fer and stops).
Kine (notices) : Fer, haven't you got a meeting to attend right now?
Fer (remembers) : Oh my! Thank you, I'll see you guys later..... (she too leaves)
Kine (placing his deskplate on his desk) : Got something to say?!
Di (startled) : Huh, No.... Yeah it's that...
Kine (without any expression on his face) : I got other things to take care of.
Di : It's... (musters up courage, takes a deep breath) Let's meet at your condo by six in the evening. (Runs out of the room)
Kine smirks.
Quarter to six, Kine's condo, outside the door, Di restless, nervous mustering courage about to knock. Kine suddenly opens the door. Pulls him in. There he is pinning Di to the wall, locking his gaze with his own. The atmosphere turns on, no talking, just struggling, entangling their thoughts. The two of them in one corner of the living room. Kine turns off the incandescent, white lights and turns on the red night lights without losing his eye contact with Di. Di's face, ears and eyes glowing under the red light. Their eyes drowned in each other's.
Kine (coldly) : Say it already, I don't have all day. (Di still mustering up courage to speak up) If not then leave already.
Kine turns his back at Di. Di hugs him from the back.
Di (almost crying) : I am sorry na. I was just all messed up but didn't wanna hurt you.
Kine turns back, holding Di's cute little face in his palms to see Di's tears glimmering in the red light. His heart melts and he hugs Di. After a warm and comforting hug, Kine, the opportunist sees an opportunity.
Kine : So, should I take it as a yes?
Di (confused) : About what?
Kine (leans near Di's ear) : Your answer to my confession.
Di (shy and red) : Your call, think whatever you want (gently hits Kine on his chest)
Kine is overly dramatic, pretends to be in pain. Di worried, checks on him. Kine lands a kiss on Di's cheek. Di gives him a mock-indignant look to which Kine gives him a cute ear to ear smile. Kine's intention seems to go bad upon seeing those cute, devourable, pinkish lips of Di. He looks up into Di's eyes as if asking for permission and of course you think he would hold back. He leans in but Di feels shy and covers Kine's mouth.
Di : Can we take it slow....?
Kine, obviously a green flag, frees Di from his grip. Rather, he takes Di to the couch. First he seats himself and gestures to Di to sit on his lap. Di gives him a *withering look as if saying "Are you for real? Under all that good boy image, was this pervert?". Di elegantly seats himself on the couch beside Kine. Kine turns towards Di and holds his cute lean body from the side. Di didn't resist so Kine took it a bit further and kissed Di's shoulders and then checked if Di was okay with it. He took it a bit further, on Di's neck, Di turned towards Kine.
Di (keeps a poker face) : How many more steps do you think you'll take to reach my lips?
Kine smiles *roguishly. Kine hastily picks up Di and puts him on his lap.
Di (surprised by all this suddeness) : What are you doing….!?
Kine (smugly) : Something a loverboy would do to his boyfriend….(smiles)
Di : Anyway, why did you turn on the red lights? (Kine smugly chuckles) Don't you tell me that you had something vicious rolled up your sleeves?
Kine, avoiding the question, distracts Di by blowing his warm breath over Di's ears and Di couldn't just resist his charm. He stays still in Kine's lap while Kine begins to cuddle and rub his lips and nose on Di's shoulder and neck.
[ Author: Sorry to interrupt their sweet moments but it's not me it's that phone ringing]
Di's phone rings, it's Riv. Both of them break free from each other's charm with great difficulty. Di picks up the call.
Di : Yes Riv is there something....?
Kine moves his lips around Di's neck. Kine's warm breath is taking over Di's mind again.
Riv (annoyed) : Hand over the phone to the one whose lap you're sitting on.
Di (confused) : Huh?! How do you know that I'm....
Riv : Enough of that, hand over the phone to him na.
Di hands over his phone to Kine. Kine too confused nevertheless talks.
Kine : Hello....
Riv (on phone) : Move somewhere so that Di can't hear us talk
Kine, even more confused, places Di on the couch, gets up, shirtless, moves to the balcony, Di anxious but Kine gestures to him to stay there.
Kine : Say.
Riv (calmly) : Is everything sorted out between you guys?
Kine : We haven't talked with words but with actions.
Riv (controls herself) : Finally you guys are in real action. Listen carefully to what I'm about to say. So it's his first time, be gentle alright. My Di is sensitive and after hanging up check the inner pocket in Di's bag and thank me later with a treat and a PDA
Kine (smiles) : Okay.... I'll. Cover up for him in the meantime I'll drop him safely home. Bye
Kine goes in, Di anxious questions Kine.
Di : What did she say?
Kine : Nothing much (puts down Di's phone on the table and moves to Di's bag searching)
Di : What are you looking for?
Kine : Riva asked me to look for something in your bag. I'm also wondering what it might be (Finds the inner secret pocket in Di's bag) Oh found it!
Di : What is it?
Kine : It's...(shocked, pushes it back inside, thinks, "What the hell?")
Di : What is it?
Kine (panicked) : Nothing just melted chocolate, don't worry I'll put it in the freezer (rushes, puts it it the freezer and turns back nervous to Di and sits beside him
Di runs his hand on Kine's open chest
Di (flirty) : Should we continue where we left?~~
Kine (swallows his saliva) : Don't you have to go home? (Picks his shirt) Here, get ready I'll drop you (wears back his own)
Di (confused) : Didn't I just get here? What's going on?
Kine (restless) : Let's go....
Kine pushes Di and they drive back, throughout the ride Di kept looking at Kine driving, anxious and restless. When they reached Di's home.
Di : Will you tell me what's going on?
Kine : Just tell Riv that I'm grateful but now's not the right time. Okay go inside now.
Di frowning yet kisses Kine on his cheek and leaves. Riv opens the door upon hearing the knock
Riv (surprised) : You're back so early!
Di (frowning) : I also have the same thought as you, by the way he said "I'm grateful but now's not the right time"
Riv (surprised) : Oh really! What a wise man he is. Wanna eat dinner?
The day ended. Next day at school, Kine standing in the corridor with Fer, Di passes
Kine : Good morning ~
Di (shy) : Morning~
As Di moved a bit far, Fer baffled,
Fer (to herself) : They patched up and I don't know any of this. (To Kine) You guys are together now?!
Kine shyly nods, Fer not very happy to hear this. After the 1st period, Kine had to take a class but Fer and Di were free. Di decided to use this free time to check the assignments and sat at his table. Fer goes to Di
Fer : Heard you and Kine got together again.
Di (startled) : Oh it's you, ummm yeah we did. I actually...
Fer (coldly) : Didn't I tell you to stay away from him, at first you did and I was happy that you're mindful but now don't you have any shame, doing this knowing it would immensely hamper his career.
Kine appears out of the blue and overhears everything standing at the back of Fer.
Kine (almost shouting) : You did what!? (taken aback) I really thought of you as someone special and you... (Wipes his tears) I've a class now, we'll talk later.
