Chapter 215 - The Iron Lumps Aren't All That Anymore

"It's not a matter of me agreeing just because she said she wanted to pursue me. The reality is, even if I refused, she could still come to Earth to look for me anyway. I had absolutely no choice in the matter."

"Besides, Felicia, you of all people should understand. That old man, Odin, is clearly trying to play the political marriage angle."

"That wretched old man is full of wicked schemes. I bet he planned from the very beginning to tie Sif to my side, using her as a bridge between Asgard and Earth."

Seeing the signs of Gwen's rising anger, Peter hurriedly tried to get Felicia to say a few good words on his behalf.

Noticing Peter frantically shooting her meaningful glances, Felicia couldn't help but roll her eyes at him dramatically. But despite the look of sheer disdain on her face, her actions remained entirely loyal:

"This is actually a very common practice. Never mind those gods—even the elites in our business and political circles on Earth absolutely love using this method to tie their interests together."

Seeing Felicia helping him out, Peter immediately seized the opportunity, expanding on the narrative with full dramatic flair:

"Exactly! You guys have no idea how unreasonable that old guy was at first. He practically demanded that I spend the rest of my life only with Sif. But who am I? I drew my blade right then and there, pointed it right at his nose, and said:

'Don't even think about it. I already have two girlfriends who are more exceptional than all the goddesses of Asgard combined. If you dare say something like that again, Earth and Asgard are destined to be enemies from this day forth!'"

At first, Gwen wondered if Peter was just making things up to keep them happy. But then she thought about it—Peter had literally forced a general to kneel before him in the past, and he had even openly threatened the President...

Recalling Peter's glorious track record, Gwen was genuinely fooled by his performance. Believing he had actually said those words, she anxiously grabbed his hand and scolded him gently:

"You're far too impulsive for saying that! Even if the All-Father is nearing the end of his life, who knows what kind of hidden trump cards he still possesses?"

"If you actually push him too far and he stubbornly activates that Rainbow Bridge to destroy Earth, wouldn't we all become the villains who brought about the end of the world?"

Peter knew that even if he were beaten to death, he couldn't break character right now. He smoothly grasped both Gwen's and Felicia's hands, adopting the persona of the most deeply devoted man on Earth:

"As long as I have the two of you by my side, what does it matter even if the world really ends?"

Hearing this, any anger Gwen harbored instantly vanished into thin air. She threw her arms around Peter, wishing she could melt into his embrace.

At her core, Gwen's nature was simply too gentle. So, even if she felt a little wronged, when push came to shove, she would always choose to bear the brunt of it herself. However, this magnanimous and understanding nature of hers was precisely what Peter loved the most. No matter who came after her, Gwen would always hold the number one spot in his heart.

Beside them, Felicia wasn't nearly as easy to fool. She simply crossed her arms, watching Peter with a mocking sneer that clearly said: Keep acting, go on, keep acting.

Fortunately, because she was the later addition to the relationship and had grown up witnessing wealthy socialites living decadent lives of abandonment, her threshold for accepting such things was quite high.

She could easily understand Peter's unique position. Therefore, she didn't harbor much rejection toward Sif's arrival.

As long as she and Gwen stood united as sisters, they would firmly hold the positions of the East and West Empress Dowagers. As for anyone who came later—no matter what kind of monsters or ghosts they were—they would have to obediently follow the rules they set down!

Flashing a quick glance at Felicia, Peter gently stroked Gwen's back, speaking softly:

"But regardless of the circumstances, it was wrong of me to take matters into my own hands without talking to you guys first. This is my fault. I'm sorry."

Hit by Peter's flawless combination of emotional plays, the last remaining trace of Gwen's dissatisfaction completely dissipated. At the same time, she understood that Peter truly had no power of choice in this matter. They couldn't very well let Earth lose a powerful ally just because of her temporary jealousy.

She forgave Peter quickly. Though she didn't state it out loud, her meaning was clear: as long as Sif didn't actively flaunt herself and cause trouble in their faces, she would turn a blind eye to the whole affair.

Seeing Gwen being so gentle and understanding, Peter was incredibly moved. He decisively scooped her up in his arms, offered an apologetic smile to Felicia, and headed straight for the upstairs guest bedroom.

Faced with this turn of events, Felicia could only roll her eyes at him once more, silently mouthing the words:

Don't make me wait too long!

Not long after, listening to the faint noises echoing from upstairs, Felicia covered her ears in sheer frustration—If I had known, I wouldn't have chosen the Black Cat gene!

After wrapping things up with Gwen, he immediately had to tend to Felicia. It was a good thing Peter possessed a remarkably strong physique, alongside the Horse Talisman's constant passive healing. Had it been anyone else, they would have likely met an early grave under such demanding circumstances...

After a busy night of successfully comforting both Gwen and Felicia, Peter was woken up the next morning by his phone ringing. Still groggy, he reached over to check the screen—the caller ID read Tony Stark.

The moment he answered, Tony's ecstatic voice erupted from the other end:

"It's done! I've succeeded!"

Suppressing his urge to complain about the author using another overplayed trope, Peter quickly realized what Tony meant by succeeding:

"The Vibranium suit is finished?"

It had to be said that Tony's intellect and hands-on capability were truly no joke. It had barely been half a month since Peter handed over that full ton of Vibranium to him, and Tony had already completed the suit's production alongside a complete technological iteration.

"But of course," Tony's tone carried a rare hint of smugness. "Are you still doubting my technical prowess? Hurry up and get over here. Bring me a couple of cheeseburgers on your way. To finish these suits of yours, I haven't had a proper meal in ages."

Fair enough. Considering his good buddy had put in so much time and effort for his armor, Peter decided to give Tony a chance to taste some truly exquisite food.

He used the kitchen in Felicia's villa to whip up several handmade burgers. Although the dish itself didn't require much complex technique to create a massive gap from normal food, his culinary skills still completely blew ordinary professional chefs out of the water.

Gwen and Felicia praised Peter endlessly while eating the burgers, feeling incredibly satisfied in their hearts.

Where else could they possibly find a second all-powerful boyfriend who was willing to cook for them? Thinking about it this way, even if Peter was a bit of a playboy, it wasn't entirely unacceptable.

After breakfast, Peter packed three handmade burgers and drove toward Stark's luxurious villa, accompanied by both Gwen and Felicia.

Tony had originally planned to show off his scientific breakthroughs proudly in front of Peter. But watching Peter walk toward him with Gwen on his left and Felicia on his right, he suddenly felt that his entire warehouse full of iron lumps wasn't all that appealing anymore...
