Chapter 17 - The Divine Gaze and the Masters of Time and Space

Lu Kai led Tian Zhu up the gleaming platinum stairs that now formed part of his sect's ascending architecture. The sheer scale of the structures, crafted from pure platinum, was breathtaking. Tian Zhu, wide-eyed and awestruck, trailed behind his new master. He had never seen anything like it, not even in his wildest dreams or in the tales of legendary sects he might have heard.

"Sect Master," Tian Zhu ventured, his voice full of wonder, "how many seniors and teachers are there in your sect?"

Lu Kai smiled, a genuine warmth in his eyes. "Tian Zhu," he said, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder, "you are my first disciple. You are a great pillar of my sect, a future instructor, and perhaps, one day, even Sect Master yourself." He gestured towards a pile of rough-hewn logs and an axe leaning against a platinum wall. "Cultivate diligently, learn from the sect's library – what little there is of it for now. If you encounter any issues on your path, you can always ask me. But first," he added, gesturing to the woodpile, "you must cut firewood. Start with the basics."

Tian Zhu, though perhaps a little disappointed to be tasked with manual labor rather than immediate combat training, nodded with earnest determination. He understood the importance of basic tasks in building a foundation.

Lu Kai then turned his attention to the immediate rewards of his successful recruitment. He mentally prompted the Authy System. **"Collect rewards,"** he commanded.

A cascade of sensations washed over him. First, the permanent **Mortal** cultivation. He felt no change in his realm, no surge of Qi in the traditional sense. Instead, a profound stability settled within him, a sense of being grounded, yet simultaneously, his raw physical and spiritual power surged exponentially, as if the System was directly amplifying his inherent divine capabilities, bypassing conventional cultivation bottlenecks. He understood now: he would never cultivate in the traditional sense, but his raw power would be immense, unhindered by mortal limits.

Then came the **Divine Eyesight**. His vision sharpened, colors became more vibrant, and details he'd previously missed snapped into focus. He looked at Tian Zhu, and a faint, translucent card flickered into existence before his eyes, detailing the boy's status:

**NAME:** Tian Zhu

**SPIRITUAL ROOT:** Earthly (Mid-level)

**CULTIVATION:** Mortal

Lu Kai noted the "Mortal" cultivation level, mirroring his own, but also the "Earthly" spiritual root, which was clearly a standard, common type in this world. He also noticed the "Mid-level" descriptor, indicating it wasn't entirely without potential.

**"System,"** Lu Kai thought, his divine mind now fully engaged, **"my Origin is Platinum. Grant me the power to create skills from that Origin."**

The Authy System responded with rare enthusiasm. **"System agrees. The Platinum Origin grants you the chance to shape and manifest based on its primordial essence. You may choose past Pokémon powers you wish to draw from to manifest your Origin skills."**

Images flickered before Lu Kai's divine consciousness. He saw the vast, cosmic entities he had created in his previous existence. After a moment of divine deliberation, he made his choices: **Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.**

A booming laugh, echoing with the power of creation and cosmic forces, resonated through Lu Kai's being – his own divine laugh, finally unburdened. "YES!" he exclaimed, the sheer joy of regaining his true power overwhelming. "Finally! I have what I wanted from the beginning!"

The power of these legendary beings flowed into him, manifesting as raw potential. He felt the threads of time, space, and reality itself responding to his will. With his new understanding and power, he began to forge his first Origin skills:

1. **Time Control (Dialga):**

* *Description:* The user can control, slow, stop, reverse, or travel through time at will.

2. **Spatial Distortion (Palkia):**

* *Description:* The user can warp space, create new dimensions, and teleport itself or others across vast distances or between alternate worlds.

3. **Distortion World and Antimatter Control (Giratina):**

* *Description:* The user controls antimatter and can manipulate the Distortion World, a dimension where time, space, and causality are distorted or nonexistent. They can maintain the balance between this world and the real world.

Lu Kai marveled at the sheer cosmic power at his command. These were not mere fighting techniques; these were fundamental forces of the universe, now at his fingertips through his Platinum Origin.

He then turned his attention back to his first disciple. "Tian Zhu," Lu Kai called, a glint in his eyes. "This is your first task. Take this axe," he said, gesturing to the heavy-looking tool for chopping wood. "And chop those logs."

Lu Kai then ascended to the house he had crafted amidst the Divine Trees. He settled in, immersing himself in understanding his newfound abilities, the system remaining silent as he explored his powers. Time passed, marked by Tian Zhu's arduous efforts. The boy struggled, picking up the heavy axe like it was a boulder, trying repeatedly to lift it, but failing to even budge it effectively.

After a month of Tian Zhu's persistent, if futile, efforts, Lu Kai finally descended. He had spent his time not just exploring his powers, but also delving into the **Martial Book Pavilion**. Having mastered every martial art within its countless tiers and floors – over hundreds of top-grade skills – he now understood his own capabilities without limit.

Just as Lu Kai reappeared, the System chimed with a new task. **"New Task: Recruit four more disciples and teach them from the Book Pavilion."**

Lu Kai smiled. With his new understanding of cosmic forces, his mastery of countless martial arts, and his own unique creations, finding and training disciples would be a far different endeavor. The Platinum Sect was ready to grow.

**To be continued...**
