Nyra approached during rest.
"You're carrying tension," she said.
Kael sighed. "Everyone keeps noticing that."
She smiled gently.
"Because it's loud."
She touched his arm lightly.
The heat softened immediately.
"You're holding too much control," she said.
"That's the point."
"No," she replied. "Balance is the point."
Kael studied her.
"…You trust it too much."
Nyra shook her head.
"I trust you."
That silence lingered longer than expected.
