"Alice, are you ready?" In the room, Asagami Fujino looked at Irisviel beside her.
Irisviel had just awakened. Like a child, she possessed vast knowledge thanks to her homunculus nature, yet her mental age was still that of a little girl.
Fujino's powerful affinity drew Irisviel irresistibly. To satisfy her, Fujino used her authority to ferry them to a parallel world devoid of mystery and slowed the flow of time. They spent a full year there together; to the main world, only a single day passed.
During that year their relationship was settled, and Fujino explained her plan; Irisviel agreed.
"Mm." Lying on the bed, Irisviel nodded gently. "Fujino, do you think our child will be cute?"
"Of course, as cute as you are," Fujino said, sitting beside her and holding her soft white hand.
"Really?" Irisviel beamed. "What shall we name her?"
"Let's call her Illya," Fujino answered with a smile.
"Illya…" Irisviel murmured the name.
"That's it. Illya will be a lovely child."
"Mm." Fujino nodded. "Let's begin. When you wake, you'll meet Illya."
"Mm." Irisviel closed her eyes; a faint light flashed from Fujino's hand, sending her into deeper sleep.
The door opened and Touko stepped in. "Ready?"
"Ready." Fujino rose, placing a hand on Irisviel's abdomen; silver-white sigils emerged.
Fujino cut her finger; a drop of blood floated up.
Touko moved to the other side, opening Irisviel's palm. Blood flowed, drawn by the sigils until the silver turned red.
Fujino guided her own blood into the crimson symbols. They trembled, on the verge of shattering.
A gleam shot through Fujino's eyes; the sigils stabilized.
A sphere of white light appeared, a tiny figure inside—Illya.
This was the pre-existing being perfectly compatible with Irisviel. Though Irisviel's blood would dominate, even Fujino's one percent could overpower; the destined vessel was needed to receive Fujino's might.
Inside the sphere was Illya. Originally she had never been born because Fujino severed her cause: in the original timeline the Einzbern used Irisviel and Kiritsugu to conceive her.
By destroying that cause, Fujino erased the effect, yet Illya's existence could still be summoned. Using the Root, she integrated every parallel Illya into one, forging a unique new being—the hollow shell within the sphere.
Illya would exist because of Irisviel, a fresh cause-and-effect. Though higher karma was broken, this link remained under Fujino's power, making their compatibility supreme. The ritual balanced their blood, ensuring success.
Guiding the sphere into the sigils, the red symbols coated it and merged into Irisviel's womb.
All was done; now they needed only wait for the birth—however long it might take.
