Chapter 261 - Chapter 261: Norra (EC)

Caleb gave the order, and the portal to the Void opened. It rapidly expanded, enveloping everyone present who was heading into battle.

Yuumi's cat face flushed bright red.

Jax and Kai'Sa, the two Icathians, both showed somewhat complicated expressions.

Within the Void, there was no light, and almost no visibility.

But what they could hear was the chilling noise made by all kinds of Void creatures.

"Prepare for battle!"

This time, Caleb had not only brought elite combatants, but also the best soldiers among his forces.

Caleb had prepared PROJECT armor and weapons from the Mecha suits, coating them all with petricite.

Yet what met them next was a shriek.

"Rek'Sai!"

Kai'Sa's face turned slightly pale. Back near Icathia, she had been struck down by Rek'Sai, the Void Burrower.

Without Caleb's later rescue, this day would never have come.

Jinx, on the other hand, was perfectly straightforward. The energy magazines provided by PROJECT were almost endless, and every monster she shot down could be converted into energy bullets.

The others covered in PROJECT armor also felt just how powerful these suits were.

"Norra! Norra, where are you?"

Yuumi looked around, tears spilling uncontrollably from her eyes.

After so many years apart, there was finally a chance she might see her master again.

Yuumi sobbed as she used Final Chapter to sweep down the Void creatures one after another.

Serylda's Grudge emerged from Caleb's palm and moved freely through the surroundings, killing one low-level enemy after another.

"So we came here, and that's enough to solve the problem?"

Atreus's Comet Spear could almost wipe out every Void creature present.

And with Zenith Blade covering the flank, the Aspects and their followers had suffered almost no losses from the start.

"Do not try to defy Destiny!"

A sinister voice rang out beside Caleb, making everyone around him feel a chill run down their backs.

"Malzahar!"

Yuumi's Final Chapter failed to bind him. Instead, even more swarms surged forward.

"Norra! Where is she?"

Caleb heard Yuumi shouting, but in the vast Void, the swarms surrounded everyone, making Yuumi even more frantic.

"Don't be scared."

Caleb rubbed Yuumi's head a couple of times and spoke gently.

"I'll help you find her."

She had been a useful little cat for so long, and she usually let him pet her without any resistance.

Caleb decided he absolutely could not disappoint Yuumi.

Black Mist poured out of Caleb's royal blade, shrouding the entire area in a vast haze.

But the Black Mist was not being used to control or injure anyone. Instead, it blocked every incoming attack.

This was a new application Caleb had developed. Compared to attacking or controlling enemies, he preferred the feeling of making their strikes land on cotton.

With this Black Mist, along with help from Soraka, Taric, and Xolaani, the entire army temporarily gained the advantage.

Seeing Malzahar constantly releasing swarms toward him, Caleb frowned.

Compared with the enemies here, Caleb found it hard to get close to that "Prophet." On top of that, Malzahar had a shield protecting him, making it difficult for Caleb to kill him directly with an ability.

"Shouldn't clearing these things be quick for you?"

Caleb turned his head and looked at Ryze, who was still continuously firing mana orbs that bounced between the swarms.

"I still need the runes to spread to him!"

Ryze sounded displeased too, but with the swarms packed so densely together, he really had no way to damage the one commanding them.

Caleb really wanted to drop Falling Star on him and teach him how to be a person.

But that shield looked extremely thick. Compared with the game, Malzahar was much harder to deal with.

Caleb glanced at Kai'Sa beside him, and she shook her head slightly.

Void Seeker was blocked by the swarm, so Kai'Sa had no way to fly to his side and unleash Icathian Rain.

Caleb frowned.

He suspected that even if he summoned Arcane Comet, the swarm would still block it for Malzahar.

After all, the other side only had an outer shape that resembled a human body. In reality, the inside was all Void swarms.

While Caleb was still thinking, the battle shifted again.

A figure came from the distance and blinked straight in front of Malzahar.

"Kai'Sa, do you have a father?"

Looking at the Nether Blade in the newcomer's hand, Caleb's expression could not help but turn strange.

The mask on his face looked like a respirator made in Zaun.

Thinking about it that way, Zaun must have helped him before too.

Seeing that the shield had disappeared, Caleb directly opened a path with the Black Mist and rapidly closed in on Malzahar.

"I'll do it!"

Kassadin heard the shout. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Kai'Sa moving forward alongside Caleb, and he could not help but freeze.

"She's already grown this much?"

For all these years, what had kept Kassadin going was nothing more than the desire to find his missing daughter.

But now, looking at his daughter, whose whole body shone like sunlight, a feeling of loss appeared in his heart.

Even so, he still tactfully used Riftwalk to move aside.

Caleb did not hesitate. He struck straight at Malzahar with Falling Star.

It carried the greatest possible measure of Aspect power, power from the strongest being in the heavens, Aurelion Sol.

Under that scorching light, Malzahar's fleshly body soon vanished completely.

And within the flattened space, a figure suddenly appeared.

"Norra!"

After Yuumi cried out, Caleb did not approach carelessly.

"Are there Void creatures that can imitate other people's appearances?"

Only after receiving Kai'Sa's confirmation did Caleb look toward the "enchantress" who had suddenly appeared.

To Caleb, Xolaani had once been treated by Rek'Sai as blood food for her offspring.

Although Caleb had said he could find Norra, he had not actually held much hope.

After all, Veigar's example was right there. When he had been forced to help Mordekaiser, he had lost his reason and sense of self.

Under extreme pain, even yordles could easily die.

That was no longer anything rare.

Yet Norra had appeared here, so Caleb could not help but stay vigilant.

Because her eyes looked completely free of madness. Instead, they carried a little warmth and reason.

"Yuumi, why did you come here?"

Norra's beautiful brows lifted, and she could not help but complain.

"Because you were here."

The tearful Yuumi slipped past Caleb's arm and threw herself into Norra's embrace, rubbing against her.

"Have you seen her in the Void before?"

Caleb was deeply suspicious of whether this being who lived in the spirit realm was real or not.

After all, Nami had said before that an empress was tempting her people into opening a sealed breach.

So was this Norra before him real or fake?

As Caleb was thinking, another pair of eyes was also staring at him.

Kassadin looked at this young man standing very close to his daughter. Then his gaze shifted, and he saw a figure flapping her wings.
