“Wha-wha-what are you doing?!”
“Stuuy steeill.”
“Woman, are you seriously….”
Hades floundered all flustered but did not take away his hand from my grasp. As I licked carefully on the wound, the flowing blood started to slowly stop.
Between the two of us, it was dead silent except for the sound of me licking his wound.
Hades sat still held by me for a long while, dumbfounded as he rolled only his eyes.
As I took the finger out of my mouth to see if the blood has stopped a bit, he retrieved his hand hurriedly as if he was waiting.
“Seriously, what was that?”
“A folk remedy, Your Grace.”
“A folk… ha! Do people in Heathcliff barony lick wounds? You sure that people from your barony are not all stuck in the stone age?!”
“I see you don’t know. Saliva has a sanitizing effect and is quite effective for wounds. Also, don’t worry, I brushed my teeth.”
