GEORGIA'S POV
"What did you say?" Merry barked, her voice sharp with agitation, but I kept my pace. She didn't deserve a single word of explanation. It didn't matter what she planned to do; we were going to dismantle her before she even found her voice. If she so much as opened her mouth to speak, I'd shut her down with a truth so loud nobody would bother listening to her lies.
I reached the corridor leading to my room, only to find Jaime leaning against my door. He looked up as I approached, and I let out a heavy, weary sigh. I stopped right in front of him.
"Move. This is my room."
"I know it is."
"Then get out of the way. I need to get ready for dinner, and judging by the smell of sweat, you should probably do the same," I said, trying to brush past him. He grabbed my arm and shoved me back against the frame.
"I want answers, Georgia. What's going on with you and Nikolaj? Tell me. You're still mine."
"Only in your delusions," I shot back.
