Marine Headquarters.
Inside the spacious and brightly lit Fleet Admiral's office, Sengoku sat behind his desk, frowning as he read through a document!
A little white goat stood quietly beside him.
"Damn it!"
As he read, Sengoku suddenly cursed. He then casually threw the document onto the floor in front of the little goat. Seeing this, the goat briskly stepped forward, bit down on the document, and proceeded to chew and swallow it, looking for all the world like a walking paper shredder!
Only after the goat had completely chewed up and swallowed the document did Sengoku look away. He rubbed his temples, stood up, and walked away from his desk to pour himself a cup of coffee.
Sengoku had just poured himself a cup when the tightly closed office door was violently pushed open. Garp then swaggered inside!
"Garp!!"
Seeing Garp walk in without even knocking, Sengoku, already in a foul mood, glared at him and snapped, "Next time, could you at least knock before you..."
Before he could finish, Sengoku's eyes suddenly lit up. He stared without blinking at Kairo D. Arashi, who had just followed Garp into the office.
"Kairo?"
Looking at Kairo D. Arashi walking into the office, Sengoku called out somewhat absentmindedly.
Kairo D. Arashi gave him a slight nod in greeting. "Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"
"Hahaha, what brings you here today?"
After confirming that the person who had walked in was indeed the Traveler Kairo D. Arashi, Sengoku immediately burst into delighted laughter. He turned around with his coffee cup and returned to his desk before gesturing toward Kairo D. Arashi. "Sit, please sit!"
Kairo D. Arashi didn't stand on ceremony. After looking around the somewhat luxurious office, he walked straight over to the sofa opposite the desk and sat down!
The moment Kairo D. Arashi sat down, Garp magically produced a box of senbei from inside his coat and grinned. "Haven't had breakfast yet, have you? Come on, let's eat together!"
"What?"
Looking at the senbei Garp had pulled out, Kairo D. Arashi blinked before saying irritably, "Just how much do you love senbei? You carry them around with you everywhere. Is that even hygienic?"
"Hahaha, don't worry! They're still warm! Oh, right, I brought some booze too. Hahahaha!!!"
With that, Garp pulled two bottles of alcohol out and placed them on the table, then grabbed a senbei and happily began munching on it.
Seeing this, Kairo D. Arashi, who hadn't eaten breakfast either, didn't hold back. He immediately twisted open a bottle, pulled the box of senbei toward himself, and began wolfing them down.
Sengoku blinked as he watched the two men come into his office to eat breakfast. He then covered his forehead with one hand and let out a heavy sigh.
Although this was his first time meeting Kairo D. Arashi face-to-face, he could more or less guess why Garp valued and liked Kairo D. Arashi so much.
If anyone else were meeting him, the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, in his office for the first time, they would surely be reserved, perhaps even trembling with nervousness!
Yet this Traveler whom Garp constantly talked about had barely finished greeting him before joining Garp in eating and drinking right in front of him, inside his office!
"You want some? You came to work this early, so you probably haven't eaten breakfast either!"
With his mouth stuffed with senbei and a bottle of alcohol in hand, Garp clinked bottles with Kairo D. Arashi while calling out to Sengoku, who was sitting behind his desk with an increasingly dark expression. "Come on, come over and eat with us!"
Sengoku was covered in black lines and looked utterly defeated. "You two... Ah, forget it. Just eat!"
After saying that, Sengoku casually picked up another document and absentmindedly started reading it.
As he read, his stomach suddenly growled.
Sengoku lowered his head and glanced at his rumbling stomach. He no longer had the mood to continue reading. He simply stood up, walked over to Kairo D. Arashi and Garp, grabbed a senbei, and started eating with them.
"Hahaha, that's more like it!"
Seeing that Sengoku couldn't resist the temptation either, Garp laughed loudly and handed him the bottle of alcohol in his hand. "Here, Sengoku!"
"I have water!"
With senbei still in his mouth, Sengoku looked up and spoke somewhat indistinctly. "Eat quickly. It won't look good if someone comes in and sees us later!"
As he spoke, Sengoku raised the glass of water in his hand and clinked it against Kairo D. Arashi's bottle. "Come, Kairo D. Arashi, to our first meeting. Bottoms up!"
"Get outta here!"
Seeing Sengoku actually clink water against his bottle, Kairo D. Arashi immediately pulled the box of senbei into his arms and said unhappily, "You're clinking water with me? Where's your sincerity, Fleet Admiral Sengoku?"
"Who drinks alcohol first thing in the morning!!!"
Sengoku roared back without giving an inch. "Only you two could do something like this!"
"Hmm, we're out of senbei?"
Garp glanced at the box in Kairo D. Arashi's arms and, seeing that all the senbei had been eaten, blinked in confusion. He then pulled another box out from behind him and laughed heartily. "I've still got some! Hahahaha..."
"!!!!!!"
Seeing Garp pull out yet another box, Sengoku immediately exploded. "Garp, just how much food did you bring with you?!"
Kairo D. Arashi said nothing. After taking a sip from his bottle, he suddenly stared seriously at the seagull on Sengoku's Marine cap and asked in confusion, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku, does that seagull on your hat have some special meaning?"
"You two..."
Seeing that neither Kairo D. Arashi nor Garp was listening to him, Sengoku nearly exploded on the spot. He immediately stood up and returned to his desk, his face dark as he said, "Hurry up and eat. When you're done, clean this place up!"
"Don't mind him. He's always like this!"
Garp once again completely ignored Sengoku's existence and cheerfully raised his bottle. "Come on, bottoms up!"
After Kairo D. Arashi and Garp had finished filling their stomachs and cleaned up the table, they simultaneously looked up at Sengoku, who was on the verge of being driven mad by them.
"Done eating?"
Seeing the two looking toward him, Sengoku secretly breathed a sigh of relief. His face, however, remained extremely serious.
"Kairo D. Arashi, I won't waste time beating around the bush. I'll say it directly. I hope you will join the Marines and contribute your strength to the Marines!"
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku really is straightforward."
Kairo D. Arashi had never expected Sengoku to get straight to the point without any beating around the bush. He couldn't help freezing for a moment before shaking his head. "As for joining the Marines, my position is very clear..."
"Hmm? Fleet Admiral Sengoku, that sheep beside you seems to be moving!"
Sengoku, who was waiting for Kairo D. Arashi's answer, saw him suddenly change the subject. He couldn't help clenching his fists and snapped irritably, "Of course it moves! It's alive!"
"So it's alive?"
Kairo D. Arashi blinked in surprise and asked again, "Is it Fleet Admiral Sengoku's pet? What's its name? Is it Little Goody-Goody? Or Lazy Goat?"
"Huh, those are great pet names!"
Garp, sitting nearby, instantly lit up when he heard Kairo D. Arashi. He suggested to Sengoku, "I think Lazy Goat is a pretty good name!"
Sengoku stared wide-eyed and fell completely silent, the expression on his face changing as rapidly as the pages of a book.
What could he even say?
Garp alone was enough to give him a headache. And now there was Kairo D. Arashi, who was somehow even worse than Garp!
All Sengoku could do was remain silent.
