We showered and dressed in matching Christmas outfits. He wore a red flannel, and a white button up with black jeans.
I put on a red low square cut long sleeve red shirt and a pleaded plaid skirt and black stockings and boots. Since there were guests, we would wear our shoes instead of slippers.
When we exited the room, an awkward silence settled over the space.
I wanted to go back into the room and hide. I felt so embarrassed. I know they heard us.
"Took you long enough." Mouse muttered after a moment, breaking the silence.
I was so grateful. But why'd she have to point out how long we were.
That's still putting the spotlight on us.
"Is dinner ready Mrs. Choi?" Taeyung asked.
"Ye, the table is being set, and the dishes will be served after." Mrs. Choi answered as she put down plates.
Once she was finished, the table looked fit enough to be on a hallmark Christmas card.
