Chapter 15 - TSF-TB: 015

Moments earlier.

In a secluded conference room, located high within the Pixie Dust Tree.

...

The Seasonal Ministers along with the Regal Queen Clarion, hovered in a circular formation, discussing the final preparations for bringing spring to the Mainland.

"Everything is proceeding on schedule so far," The Minister of Spring announced, checking off items on his petal-clipboard.

"As long as everything remains on course, spring will definitely be brought to the Mainland on time."

"That's wonderful to hear, Minister, I'll be counting on you." Queen Clarion smiled warmly.

"It is my duty, your majesty," The Minister of Spring gave a respectful bow.

At that moment, the Queen's gaze had quietly drifted toward the arched window.

"Is everything alright your majesty?" The sharp-eyed Minister of Autumn enquired calmly upon noticing the Queens momentary distraction.

It wasn't like her to space out during a meeting, especially not during discussions about the changing of the seasons.

"Ah, not to worry, Minister, all is well," Queen Clarion responded in her usual smooth tone.

"Well then, if that is all, I'll be adjourning the meeting here for the day." Queen Clarion announced.

"You may all go now,"

The Ministers bowed respectfully as she dismissed them.

"As you wish, your majesty," they chorused before promptly exiting the room.

...

Only Queen Clarion remained, her eyes were once again drawn to the window.

Her line of sight remained fixed in the direction of the Summer Glade.

'It's that strange feeling again,' She thought.

A soft smile tugged at the edges of the Queen's lips.

She was certain that this feeling was because of 'him'.

'Just what are you up to now... Zenith,' She pondered, peering into the distance for a moment longer before finally turning away.

The Babbling Brook.

The boundary marker between Spring Valley and the Summer Glade.

...

*SPLASH!*

The fairies' mouths hung agape.

Even Tinker Bell froze mid-air, her wings twitching in stunned silence...

Manipulating his glowing blue energy, Zenith tossed the huge water ball into the calm pond with a flick of his wrist.

The resulting splash sent droplets arcing gracefully through the air, while triggering small waves that gently rocked the lily pad beneath them.

A stunned silence lingered before Silvermist burst into delighted applause.

"That was splendidly done, Zenith, I never knew you were a water-fairy," Silvermist chirped in delight.

"That's because he isn't," Rosetta said, she knew better than anyone here that he wasn't any type of nature-talent fairy at all.

"What?!"

This time, the pixies reacted even more dramatically, their wings fluttering in unison as they stared fixedly at Zenith.

How was that even possible.

At this time, it was Tinkerbell who hovered forward. "Then how...?"

"I'm not quite sure myself," Zenith admitted.

"It just... happened."

Tinkerbell's gaze became a bit complicated as she stared at Zenith, her small hands tightening into fists.

"But if you're not a water-talent fairy, then how can you..."

"Calm down, Tinkerbell," Rosetta interjected, fluttering over with an air of practiced diplomacy.

"Zenith's talent is... different. Special."

"And he already said that he doesn't know how he did that,"

Rosetta continued, her voice softening as she glanced back at Zenith.

"That! Was! Awsome!" Fawn burst out, her cheeks flushed with excitement as she circled Zenith like an overeager hummingbird.

"Can you do that with frogs? Or maybe, Oh! What about with honey? Can you?"

"Haha, maybe, who knows?" Zenith chuckled, gently deflecting Fawn's barrage of questions as she practically vibrated beside him.

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Iridessa, who was also staring at him with an astonished expression.

*Sigh...*

'I really don't know how I did that,' he thought wryly.

...

"Oh, I see," Tinkerbell let out a quiet sigh before slowly turning away.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow, I guess," Tinkerbell muttered, her wings drooping slightly as she hovered away from the group.

The pixies exchanged worried glances, but they didn't try to stop her.

They had no idea what they could say to comfort her at the moment.

'It seems that my existence has already created deviations to the original story,' Zenith thought as he watched Tinkerbell's figure slowly vanish into the distance.

But he wasn't worried in the slightest.

As for Tinkerbell's sour mood, he knew that she'd eventually overcome her current emotional phase in due time.

That evening, at Rosetta's residence.

...

Nighttime had quietly descended over the Hollow.

"I'm heading to bed now, have a good night, Zenith." Rosetta said sweetly.

"Okay, you too, Rosetta," he responded with a smile as she disappeared behind the leaf curtain.

...

Zenith lay sprawled on his pile of cushions as he contemplated the day's events.

'Telekinesis, huh?' He thought as he experimented with a leaf cushion that was currently suspended midair within his blue energy.

'Things just keep getting better and better,' he smiled, already anticipating the days ahead.
