Chapter 44 - Jungmun Blueprint

Eun-soo sat in her executive office, her legs crossed elegantly as she leaned over a mahogany desk cluttered with VVIP dossiers and floral arrangement blueprints.

She had been working tirelessly since parting ways with Jin-woo in the morning, her pen moving with the precision of a woman born to lead this empire.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated against a stack of files, the alarm she had set for 11:50 a.m. flashing on the screen.

She tapped it off, a small, involuntary smile playing on her lips as she realized it was time to transition from "Director" back to "Teacher Eun-soo."

Picking up the sleek office telephone, she dialed a direct internal line. "Daniel, it's me."

Daniel Kim's voice answered instantly, sharp and professional as always. "Hello, Miss. Is there a priority task?"

"No, Daniel," Eun-soo replied, her voice softening. "I was calling about the tour for Mr. Seo and his family. Is the itinerary finalized?"

"Yes, Ma'am," Daniel responded smoothly. "As you requested, I've prepared a plan that balances relaxation for the elders with engagement for the child."

"I have the logistical framework ready," he continued, "but I left the specific dining selections to your discretion. I am sending the file to your tablet now."

Eun-soo's tablet chimed, and she began scrolling through the curated list of Jeju's finest spots in the Jungmun area.

She bypassed the busier tourist traps, her eyes settling on Jeju Osung Traditional Restaurant for lunch.

She knew Jin-woo's parents, being retired educators, would appreciate the authentic, quiet atmosphere and the nutritious grilled fish sets.

For the afternoon, she bypassed the heavier snacks and chose a hidden gem for Bomal Kal-guksu, thinking the warm, sea-snail broth would be gentle on Hajun's stomach.

As she reached the dinner section, her finger paused over Boreumsup.

It was famous for its premium black pork BBQ, but more importantly, it offered a private, garden-like setting that felt intimate—perfect for a "bonding" atmosphere.

She finalized the route: the Botanical Garden for a slow walk, followed by the cliffs, and ending at the hotel's infinity pool under the stars.

"This is perfect, Daniel," she said into the receiver. "Secure the private reservations for these three locations. We leave in ten minutes."

"Understood, Miss. The vehicle is being prepped at the North entrance," Daniel confirmed before hanging up.

Eun-soo stood up and quickly checked her reflection, smoothing out her cream tunic and adjusting her dark jeans.

She felt a strange flutter in her chest, a nervous energy she usually only felt before a major corporate gala, but this was different.

This wasn't about business mergers or hospitality standards; it was about the way Jin-woo had looked at her in the lobby.

She grabbed her small shoulder bag and headed toward the private elevator, her heart racing as the floor numbers descended toward the lobby.

When the doors opened, she saw the Seo family already gathered near the marble pillars.

Hajun was holding his grandfather's hand, looking curious, while Jin-woo's parents were dressed in sensible, high-quality travel clothes.

And then there was Jin-woo—standing tall, looking refreshed after his nap, still wearing the white shirt that matched hers so perfectly.

As she approached, Jin-woo's mother, Young-sook, turned and beamed at her. "Teacher Eun Soo! How wonderful that you could join us today."

Eun-soo bowed politely, her face warming. "It's my pleasure. I hope you're all ready for a beautiful afternoon."

Jin-woo stepped forward, his eyes locking onto hers with a quiet intensity that made the bustling lobby fade into the background.

"Everything is ready?" he asked, his voice low and steady.

Eun-soo nodded, a playful spark returning to her eyes. "Everything is prepared. I've chosen the best spots in Jeju just for you."

Jin-woo felt a strange sense of peace looking at her, a feeling that with her leading the way, the heavy weight he usually carried felt just a little bit lighter.

"Then let's go," Jin-woo said, gesturing toward the entrance where the black Sprinter waited. "Hajun has been counting down the minutes."
