[???]: "Hey listen up everyone!"
At her voice the students quiet down
She then grins
[Terra]: "My Name is Terra, I am only here to explain the upcoming tournament, after I explain, there won't be any class for a couple of days due to the tournament"
She continued
[Terra]: "Now, let's get started, this tournament will not test you on your magic or physical stats like the exam you had just a couple of weeks ago, this tournament is just for analysis on how much each of you have learned"
Galeot raises his hand
[Terra]: "Yes Galeot?"
In a confused tone he asks
[Galeot]: "I get the reason for this tournament, but we only had a couple of weeks to do anything, plus I feel that testing us isn't the only reason for this tournament"
[Terra]: "Oh my you are quite clever, but you are thinking way too deeply on that subject, you see…. Davoi and Arista, the two of the seven demon lords, hosted this tournament."
She continued
[Terra]: "Although I have no clue why they decided to host this tournament, but I know someone in this room that does"
She glances at me knowingly
[Galeot]: "I see why they hosted this tournament, they must think highly of us royals, in which they are correct because one of us royals will be the new Demon King"
What a fool, even after I beat him along with the other royals, he still is messed up in the head, but that's a royal for you nothing can change the way they think, but the exception to that would be jake because he was apart of Arista's family
If he wasn't apart of her family then he would still have an inferiority complex like the rest of the royals
[Terra]: "Now, let me explain the rules; number one no cheating or using anything illegal; number two do not kill your opponent, although you should know this due to policy one of the demon realm; number three you must stay in the arena's box platform, if you step out you lose"
I see, what she is saying that we must keep our body inside the center or else we lose, it's either make the opponent unable to fight or make them fall off the center platform
[Terra]: "And lastly there will be an barrier setup by Davoi, which will nullify any harmful damage or debris flying at the audience, so you can go all out without needing to worry about harming the audience"
She continued
[Terra]: "That's all for now, class is dismissed"
After every student left the classroom, only me and starlight stayed in our seats which in a confused tone she says
[Starlight]: "So earlier when she said that she knows someone in this room that knows why Davoi and Arista set up this tournament, it meant you didn't it"
I smirked
[Zandor]: "Indeed I do know why, it's to make you battle Jake in a one on one"
In confusion she says
[Starlight]: "But if you two wanted us to battle each other then you could've done it in a secluded space, so why use a tournament"
[Zandor]: "Simple, I want to make the entire demon realm not view you as a curse anymore, show them that you have control over your magic now, they all will expect Jake to win and not enjoy a show, but when they see you beat him and have control over your magic power, instead they will cheer for you and actually acknowledge you more."
At my explanation she is surprised and yet a hint of vulnerability in her voice
[Starlight]: "You set up that plan just for me?"
[Zandor]: "Indeed"
