Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Founder of Ken

In the beginning, there was nothing but chaos.

The skies were dark.

Black clouds twisted through the heavens, moving unnaturally as thunder roared across the land.

BOOM!

The ground shook.

Winds screamed through the forests, tearing trees from the ground and scattering ash everywhere.

Beasts roamed freely.

They fought.

They killed.

And humanity could do nothing but hide.

Small huts shook beneath the storms as people cried and begged for the chaos to stop.

But it didn't.

Rivers ran red.

Forests burned.

And everywhere...

There was death.

Yet above it all, in a realm unseen by mankind, someone watched.

The Giver.

The God who had created life.

He looked down upon the world he had created.

And for the first time...

He felt sorrow.

This wasn't what he wanted.

He had given life to the world.

He wanted harmony.

Peace.

Instead, he saw hatred.

Violence.

Death.

Every scream reached His ears.

Every life lost felt like another wound.

But then...

A thought came to Him.

If humanity couldn't control itself...

Then perhaps they needed something.

Something that could guide them.

Something that could awaken their potential.

Or perhaps...

Something that would doom them.

The Giver raised His hand.

A pulse of energy spread throughout the world.

Across the mountains.

Through the rivers.

Into the forests.

No human could see it.

No beast could understand it.

It simply existed.

Waiting...

For someone capable of resonating with it.

---

Far away from the lands of blood and fire...

A small tribe continued to survive.

And one day...

Something descended from the heavens.

A man.

His body radiated a gentle light as his feet touched the ground.

His name was Hernes.

A messenger of The Giver.

He had been given a task.

One that would eventually change the entire world.

Hernes approached a young girl who was taking care of her goats.

The girl froze.

"W-Who are you...?"

Hernes looked at her.

Then he spoke.

"You will meet a boy in the forest."

The girl stared at him.

"A boy?"

"Keep him safe."

Hernes stepped closer.

"Raise him."

The girl didn't understand.

But before she could ask anything else...

Hernes placed his hand against her chest.

A warm light entered her body.

Her fear disappeared.

And in its place...

Was a strange feeling.

Hope.

Purpose.

Love.

Hernes looked at her one last time.

"And most importantly..."

His voice became gentle.

"Love him."

---

The girl immediately left.

She ran through the forest.

Past trees.

Across rivers.

Over hills.

She didn't know why she was doing this.

She didn't know who this boy was.

But something inside her told her to keep going.

And eventually...

She reached it.

The tallest tree in the world.

Its massive trunk stretched toward the heavens, while its branches disappeared into the dark clouds above.

The girl looked around.

"What... am I supposed to find here?"

Then...

She heard something.

A faint sound.

A cry.

She froze.

"...A baby?"

She followed the sound.

And there he was.

A small baby lying between the roots of the massive tree.

He was crying.

But strangely...

There was something around him.

A faint light.

The same energy that had spread throughout the world.

The girl slowly approached.

She knelt down.

And picked him up.

The baby stopped crying.

She stared at him.

"I..."

She hugged him tightly.

"I'll protect you."

For a brief moment...

The wind stopped.

The trees became silent.

Almost as if the world itself was watching.

A child had been born.

And his existence...

Would change everything.

---

Seven years later.

The boy had grown.

The girl had raised him as her own.

To him...

She was his mother.

And to her...

He was her son.

They lived peacefully within the small tribe, far away from the chaos destroying the rest of the world.

The boy was energetic.

Curious.

And sometimes...

A little troublesome.

One afternoon, the boy suddenly ran toward his mother.

"Mom! Mom!"

She looked at him.

"What?"

"Look at this!"

He raised his hand.

A faint light floated above his palm.

His mother stared.

"...What is that?"

"I don't know!"

The boy smiled.

"It just appeared!"

The light moved around his hand.

It reacted to him.

His emotions.

His thoughts.

His will.

Neither of them knew what it was.

It had no name.

No rules.

No form.

But it was alive.

And this...

Was the beginning.

---

Unfortunately...

Their peaceful life wouldn't last.

That same day...

The sky suddenly became darker.

Thunder echoed throughout the mountains.

BOOM!

The boy looked up.

"What was that?"

Then...

A roar shook the entire forest.

ROOOOOAR!

The mountains trembled.

Birds fled.

Animals ran.

The boy's mother immediately grabbed him.

"Stay close to me!"

Something appeared above the mountains.

A massive creature.

A dragon.

Its enormous wings covered the sky.

Its scales were black.

Its eyes burned with rage.

And flames erupted from its mouth.

The mountain began to burn.

Trees were reduced to ash.

Smoke filled the air.

The boy stared at the creature.

"M-Mom..."

"I know..."

She held him tightly.

"Don't move."

But then...

CRACK!

A massive tree broke apart.

It began falling directly toward them.

"NO!"

She pushed the boy away.

"MOVE!"

The boy screamed.

The tree was almost upon them.

And then...

Something happened.

A bright light erupted from the boy.

BOOOOOOM!

Energy exploded outward.

The massive tree was thrown away as if it were nothing.

The flames surrounding them were pushed back.

The ground shook.

Everything went silent.

The boy stood there for a moment...

Before collapsing.

His mother immediately ran toward him.

"Hey!"

She picked him up.

"Please..."

Her voice trembled.

"Stay with me..."

The boy didn't respond.

He was unconscious.

But he was alive.

Then...

The dragon looked toward him.

Its eyes widened.

It could feel it.

That strange power.

A power it had never encountered before.

The dragon hesitated.

For the first time...

It was afraid.

It spread its wings.

And flew away.

Leaving behind nothing but destruction.

The fires continued to burn.

Smoke covered the sky.

But something had changed.

The boy had awakened.

A power that had never existed in humanity before...

Had finally found its first user.

It had no name yet.

But one day...

The world would know it as—

Ken.

And from that moment onward...

The story of a new power began.

A power that would bring hope.

A power that would bring chaos.

And a power that would eventually change the entire world.

The End.
