Chapter 20 - The Queen of My Secrets: The Unexpected Truth

One quiet night, Maggie woke up suddenly and noticed Hirav was missing. Feeling scared, she clung tightly to Rani, Hirav's closest friend who had always been there to listen to every detail of his life.

Suddenly, Riya burst into the room, screaming, "Brother's gone... and the police are outside our gate!"

Hirav's phone buzzed with a message from Rani. Maggie grabbed the newspaper and screamed in shock.

Rani showed Hirav the headline:

"PROMINENT POLITICIAN'S SON SOUGHT FOR QUESTIONING IN BRUTAL MURDER CASE" — with Hirav's photo below.

The news revealed that Hirav had been arrested at the Victoria and Albert Museum in the United Kingdom for allegedly murdering a 19-year-old videographer who was blackmailing Maggie with explicit photos. According to Investigator Jackson, Hirav had strangled the teenager, stuffed the body in a drum, and burned it.

The case details were grim:

The blackmailer was a teenager who filmed Maggie wearing a swimsuit and used the footage for blackmail.

Hirav lured the blackmailer to his eatery, strangled him, and burned the body.

Police identified the body via DNA and arrested Hirav, who confessed to the motive.

Maggie collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down her face. Riya screamed, "That's not you, Hirav! You stopped a bad guy!" Maggie looked up at Hirav, desperate for answers.

In panic, Maggie called her mother. Through tears, she told her, "Mom, Hirav's in trouble—they say he murdered someone... but he saved ME!" Her mother's voice was firm, "Come home now."

Maggie cried, explaining that Hirav was arrested and the court had sentenced him to death. Riya fainted, and Maggie screamed, "No! My love, my heart... how can they kill YOU?!" She collapsed into Hirav's arms.

Soon, officers took Hirav to the Big Palace under the Queen's orders. There, Hirav learned the truth: Maggie belonged to the royal family, and her mother was the Queen of the palace. Maggie cried happy tears and hugged her mother tightly.

The Queen embraced Maggie and then looked at Hirav with surprise. "You're the boy who saved my daughter... why are you sentenced to death? Do I speak, or will you?"

Hirav nodded, and the Queen addressed the investigators firmly:

"Drop all charges. This young man protected my daughter from blackmail—he's a hero, not a criminal! You've earned a reward... will you marry my daughter?"

Hirav agreed and asked to meet his sister, Riya. The Queen smiled and called for Riya, who curtsied low but then grinned widely. Maggie announced, "Riya, he's going to be my husband!" Riya squealed and hugged Hirav tightly.

Riya cried, "Missed you, bro." Hirav lifted her up, spinning her around with tears of joy in his eyes. Maggie snapped photos, laughing, "For your wedding album!"

The Queen called Neko, her assistant, and declared that Maggie and Hirav would stay in the palace. Neko bowed, and Maggie squealed with delight, hugging Hirav tightly. "We're getting married HERE, in the palace!" Riya bounced up and down, screaming, "Best. Wedding. EVER!"

Riya sadly said, "I'll be alone then." Hirav hugged her and said she had permission to interrupt even after the wedding.

Suddenly, Hirav's phone rang—it was his mother calling Riya to America for some document work. Riya's face fell, and she hugged Maggie and Hirav tightly. Maggie comforted her, "Go with Auntie, Riya—we'll video call you on the wedding day!" Riya looked up and asked, "Promise me you'll make my sis happy ALWAYS?"

Riya didn't want to leave. She hugged Hirav and cried, "I'll miss you, bro." Tears welled up in Rani's eyes as Hirav hugged Riya back tightly and whispered, "I'll miss you too, little sis. But I'll make Maggie happy, promise!" Slowly, Riya let go.
