Aria's POV
When Mateo told me Bella was the traitor, I didn't believe him at first.
Bella was in prison. Locked up for conspiracy after the Marcus Caldwell situation. She couldn't be working with the humans.
"She's here," Mateo said when I arrived at Bloodmoon. "In the holding cells. Under guard."
"I want to see her."
"Aria, maybe that's not a good idea—"
"I want to see the woman who got thirty-seven innocent wolves killed. Now."
He led me to the cells. Bella sat in one, looking small and pathetic.
"Hello, Bella," I said.
She looked up and her face went pale. "Aria. I… I didn't think you'd come."
"Really? You got dozens of wolves killed and you didn't think I'd want to have a conversation?"
"It wasn't supposed to happen like that. I was just giving them information, I didn't know they'd—"
"You didn't know they'd use information about pack locations and defenses to kill wolves? What exactly did you think they'd do with it?"
