Aria's POV
I felt like absolute garbage.
The antidote had cleared most of the poison from my system but I was left weak and shaky, like I'd been sick for a week. Which I guess I kind of had been.
"You need to rest," Lucian said for the hundredth time. "Damon can wait."
"No he can't. If I don't go talk to him, he's going to come here and start a war." I tried to stand and immediately regretted it. The room spun.
Mateo caught me before I fell. "You can barely walk. How are you going to face Damon?"
"I'll manage."
"This is a bad idea," Lucian said. "He's up to something. He always is."
"I know. But what choice do I have?" I looked between them. "He's at my territory threatening my pack. I have to deal with it."
They both looked like they wanted to lock me in the house but finally Lucian nodded. "Fine. But we're both coming with you."
"Wouldn't have it any other way."
