Aria's POV
The adrenaline crash hit me the moment I walked into my cabin.
My hands started shaking. My knees went weak. I barely made it to the couch before I collapsed.
Leah sat down next to me. "You okay?"
"I just destroyed the Council in front of three hundred witnesses, got attacked by a crazy alpha with a knife, and now there's a bounty on my head. So no, I'm not okay."
"Fair point."
We sat in silence for a minute and I tried to process everything that had happened.
This morning I'd woken up terrified about the Summit and now the entire wolf world was going to be different because of what I'd done.
"What happens now?" I asked.
"I don't know. But probably nothing good." Leah squeezed my hand. "You did the right thing today, Aria. Even if it's complicated."
"I'm not sure there was a right thing. Just the thing that needed to be done."
