Aria's POV
The Annual Leadership Summit was held at the Grand Celestial Hotel, the most expensive venue in the city. The kind of place where even the doormen looked like they earned more than most people made in a year.
Leah and I pulled up in my modest SUV, surrounded by luxury cars and limousines. Alphas were arriving with their entourages, all dressed in expensive suits and designer dresses.
I looked down at my own outfit, a simple black pantsuit that Leah had helped me pick out. Professional but not flashy. Strong but not trying too hard.
"Ready?" Leah asked.
"No. But let's do this anyway."
We got out and immediately I felt eyes on us. Wolves from different packs stopping their conversations to stare. Some looked curious. Some looked hostile. Most just looked like they were ready for a show.
"Ignore them," Leah muttered. "Head up, shoulders back. You're an Alpha."
