Elena stayed silent, her mind reeling.
The pink lipstick mark on Alessandro's neck that night suddenly flashed in her memory. He had come back to their suite with another woman's lipstick all over him, and now he was losing his mind over one mark on her neck? The hypocrisy burned in her throat, but she swallowed it down.
His words kept echoing in her head too.
One wrong move and both of us could end up dead.
How was that even possible? He was supposed to be one of the most powerful men in this world. Who could actually threaten him?
Before she could overthink it any further, she muttered quietly, "It was just some random woman… We didn't even introduce ourselves. She doesn't know who I am."
Alessandro's shoulders relaxed just slightly. A bit of the murderous tension left his body. He was still furious, but the worst of his fear eased.
Still, his eyes darkened again.
"Good," he said coldly. "Then you're only getting a light punishment tonight."
