Chapter 46 Explosion Curse
"What? What old ox?"
Cedric was full of question marks.
Lynn sighed sadly and explained quietly.
"This noon, my prefect, the one who argued with her boyfriend, suddenly asked me to take a walk by the lake tonight.
She also tattled on me, saying that her boyfriend had talked badly about me behind my back."
Cedric looked like he had seen a ghost.
"What does she mean?"
"What do you mean?"
"She, she doesn't mean to..."
Lynn rested his chin on his hand with worry, his tone tinged with sadness: "It's all my fault, it's my fault for being so handsome and having such an outstanding temperament. If I were a girl, I would probably be captivated by her too."
Cedric: "..."
"But she has a boyfriend now. Do you think her behavior counts as cheating?"
Cedric stammered, "I don't think so. She argues with Raphael every day. It looks like they're about to break up."
"Help me think of a way to reject her without hurting her too much," Lynn suddenly said.
"You don't like her?"
Lynn rolled his eyes.
"Big brother, I'm only twelve, okay? What's wrong with you all? Why do you always subconsciously ignore my age?"
Only then did Cedric realize that Lynn's face was still very young. Not to mention him, even Cedric was only fourteen years old.
"Sorry, your usual behavior always makes me feel like you're eighteen. Wait, so what if I'm twelve? She's only five years older than you, and it's not impossible for you two."
Lynn gave Cedric a strange look.
Well, pedophilia is an old Western tradition.
"Let me be frank, I just see her as an older sister, nothing more."
"Then you've asked the wrong person. I have no experience rejecting girls' confessions." Cedric said the heartbreaking truth expressionlessly.
Lynn tapped his forehead, rubbing his head in exasperation, putting his worries aside for the moment. He suddenly remembered Cedric's future girlfriend.
"Do you have any strong impressions of the first-year students from Ian's house?"
Cedric, unaware of Lynn's intentions, thought seriously for a moment, then shook his head.
"No, I don't know any of the Ravenclaw freshmen this year."
Lynn shook his head regretfully. Perhaps Cho Chang was still too young, her features hadn't fully developed yet. He guessed Cedric would come to his senses in his third or fourth year.
They sat by the Black Lake for an hour with their fishing rods, and of course, didn't catch a single fish.
That night, Lynn ran into Raphael on his way back to the Slytherin common room. Raphael also saw Lynn, gave a cold snort, and didn't show any kindness.
Lynn couldn't help but feel a little wronged.
Why was he being so fierce? It was clearly his girlfriend who made the first move.
...
Two days passed.
Since Betty's invitation that day, she hadn't spoken to Lynn again, as if she had forgotten about him.
However, at noon on Saturday, Cedric secretly told Lynn some information.
"It seems your two prefects officially broke up today."
Lynn almost sprayed the pumpkin juice in his mouth onto Ian's face.
"How did you know?"
"This morning, on the grass where we had flight lessons, they were arguing fiercely.
Many people saw it. Betty initiated the breakup, and Raphael reportedly looked terrible, but ultimately agreed."
Lynn's face darkened. "I suddenly have a bad feeling."
Ian, silently cutting his steak nearby, hadn't understood what they were talking about from the start, but sensed it wasn't good news, so he didn't ask.
Lynn stayed in his dorm for the entire weekend.
However, on Sunday afternoon, when he returned from studying dark magic in Professor Fawkes's office, Betty intercepted him.
"Lynn, have you been avoiding me lately?"
Lynn calmly showed her the books in his hands.
"No, senior, it's almost finals, so I've been studying harder, hoping for good grades."
His explanation was reasonable, and Betty believed him.
"Are you free next Saturday? Professor Snape needs two students to help process potion ingredients. You can come with me."
Her reason was also reasonable; Lynn didn't believe her, but he couldn't refuse. "
I can't exactly say I've made plans to go fishing with Cedric, can I?" "Senior, I'm a little afraid of Professor Snape. Can I not go? You can ask someone else, Mark and Mitchell seem like a good match."
"No! Professor Snape specifically asked you to go." With Betty saying this, Lynn didn't dare ask.
His good relationship with Professor Fawkes was no secret at Hogwarts. He was already grateful if Professor Snape didn't deliberately make things difficult for him, let alone actively seek him out.
Unable to resist, Lynn could only weakly accept it.
However, he had decided he had to find an opportunity to clarify this with Betty.
He really had no interest in her.
Romantic matters, though troublesome for Lynn, were just a minor interlude in his school life.
His main focus at Hogwarts remained studying.
Whether it was dark magic or white magic, it was all the same; the feeling of absorbing knowledge was wonderful for Lynn.
As for Ian's mission, he could only let things take their course for now.
This underage Werewolf clearly had some unresolved issues.
On the surface, he seemed to have a good relationship with Lynn and Cedric, even considering them friends, but in reality, he hadn't truly opened his heart to them.
However, Lynn wasn't in a hurry. If those three points of physical constitution were so easy to obtain, that would be a miracle.
Besides his regular Hogwarts classes, Professor Fawkes would dedicate time to teaching him Dark Arts.
He had actually mastered the Sleight of Hand spell that Professor Fawkes taught him at Christmas that very day.
However, limited by his magic threshold, his Sleight of Hand spell was significantly weaker than Professor Fawkes'.
This was even with his seven points of Dark Arts talent, which enhanced the effects of Dark Arts.
Otherwise, it would have been even weaker.
Lynn didn't have a good solution to the problem of insufficient magic power. Besides the system issuing tasks and rewarding him with magic points upon completion, he could only wait for his age to gradually increase, as his magic power would grow with him.
Of course, he wouldn't stop practicing Dark Arts during this time.
The effects would be greatly reduced, but he could still use it.
After "The Shadowless Blade," Professor Fawkes taught Lynn a new dark magic spell: the Explosion Charm.
The incantation is "Thunderous Explosion," which causes a violent explosion on the target, the effect depending on the user's ability.
