After checking out his new powers, Jace slept like a baby.
When he woke up, it was already afternoon. Pushing himself off the bed, he got up and took a long, refreshing bath.
Now that he was a Sequence 6, he had many things to do.
The very first thing on his agenda was to officially take on Edward Lane's identity and move into the psychopath's bungalow in the North Borough permanently.
Since he had completely cut his neighbor Jane off from his life, things around the apartment had been a little awkward.
They would always actively avoid each other in the hallways, though Jane's little sister, however, was still perfectly cool with Jace.
But nevertheless, now it was time to leave these things behind for good.
In the kitchen he made some tea for himself.
He also looked around the apartment for Nyx the cat to properly thank her for helping him during his advancement, as he likely would have lost control without her help.
However, she was nowhere to be found.
Sitting down on the couch, he started sipping the hot, steaming tea.
Thinking back to his recent advancement, he let out a low sigh.
He now fully realized why there were not many Beyonders from this particular pathway of his, it was because... The advancements were just too fucking hard!
Now that he recalled the events of the original novel, Klein had an easier time advancing to Sequence 6.
It was because of the Sefirah Castle. He often used it to divine and perform dangerous operations—which routinely resulted in him hearing many kinds of terrifying ravings, meaning he was already pretty resistant to them by default.
Other than that, the mysterious gray fog actively suppressed the worst of the ravings for him when he advanced to Sequence 6.
But when Jace said that 'Klein had it easier,' it wasn't exactly easy in an absolute sense.
Since Klein still had to go through the grueling physical process of pain and forcefully reclaiming his own melting body, it was still extremely dangerous.
The only factor was the fact that the ravings of the Antigonus family and Hornacis-Flegrea were significantly lower for him.
Jace, on the other hand, had suffered the full onslaught by them without any protection. In the end, all of his mental clarity and spiritual energy had been utterly exhausted by the assault, and he was right on the verge of losing control.
That was exactly when his cat, Nyx, entered the picture and helped him with external means, resulting in a successful advancement.
But the final result of all that suffering was absolutely worth it.
Jace looked over his own powers, and it was definitely worth the price.
That was simply how the Seer pathway was.
In exchange for all the meticulous preparation, the bizarre acting requirements, and the intense physical pain and suffering in advancemens , it gave the Beyonder the most unique and inconceivable powers, and that was the core reason it was worth it.
Most—no, likely all—of the Beyonders that existed from the Seer pathway were directly related to the Secret Order.
The ones who actually managed to survive the brutal advancements were absolute menaces.
Hence, the Secret Order itself was a total menace, and that was exactly why Jace decided he would never get involved with that organization under any circumstances.
Jace chuckled to himself.
It was funny how all the 'Mysteries' pathways were completely fucked in their own distinct ways.
The Fool pathway was incredibly difficult to walk on, plus it was heavily gatekept and controlled by the Secret Order.
The Door pathway was entirely screwed because of Mr. Door; every single Beyonder of this pathway would likely lose control and experience severe mental corruption during the full moon.
The Error pathway was purely under the absolute control of Amon. If you ever managed to become a demigod of this pathway, it was highly likely that Amon would just casually pass by you one day, parasitizing your body and taking your characteristics (and your life) while he was at it.
Jace shook such dark thoughts away and focused his mind on the immediate things at hand: acting.
How was he supposed to act as a Faceless?
Well, the fundamental answer was completely obvious, but it still required some careful thought and planning.
The prime example was Klein.
He digested the potion by creating two particular, highly detailed personalities, like Gherman Sparrow and Sherlock Moriarty, while throwing a few other into the mix.
Gherman Sparrow was an excellent one; that specific identity was recognized by the official authorities as well as many big and influential figures, and it was feared and admired very much across the seas.
But Jace could not simply replicate such a personality, as it wasn't part of his current plan to immediately head out to sea and hunt people down. Well, it actually was his plan, but only in the later stages of his potion digestion.
For now, he decided to create the stable persona of a middle-aged writer who would publish the famous book 'The Godfather', along with many other modern classics.
Jace had already written three complete books: Part 1 and Part 2 of 'The Godfather'- not the 3rd part though as he didn't really like it, and a book based on the first season of 'Breaking Bad'.
The digestion of the Faceless potion worked when the people around you truly acknowledged you as the specific person whose face you had taken.
Creating a completely fictional, stable persona was a slightly different approach, but it still worked perfectly for acting feedback.
But writers are hardly ever that famous on the streets, so he also needed another way to gain acting feedback, and he already had a good one in mind.
He would thoroughly research random people, knock them out safely, take their place in their daily lives for a day or two, and then move on to another target.
While this method seemed simple enough on paper, it was still effective. If he threw himself into the routine completely, he would likely digest the potion within a designated time limit.
Jace sighed and laid down flat on the couch.
It had been about seven months since he had first transmigrated into the world of LOTM, and he had to say, it had been incredibly tiring.
After transmigrating, he had thrown himself right into the Beyonder world within a single week.
Then he acted, then advanced, acted, advanced, acted, advanced... and now he was a Sequence 6.
His advancement speed really was remarkably fast.
It was all because of his sheer perseverance.
It takes about one month to fully digest a Sequence 9 potion through the acting method, two months for Sequence 8, and three months for Sequence 7.
Jace had taken this mathematical progression seriously and kept pushing himself forward according to it, and bam! In about seven months, he was an Sequence 6.
Now, he was tired... but he wouldn't stop here.
It normally takes about six months to digest a Sequence 6 potion, and he was determined to fully digest it in exactly six months.
After thinking and contemplating his future moves for a few hours, Jace got up from the couch and decided it was finally time.
Catherine had explicitly told him to come visit her the moment he became a Sequence 6, so now was time to go meet her.
It was already evening, and he was not in the mood to hire a carriage and head across the city.
In fact, he didn't even want to go through the hassle of dressing up in his standard formal clothes.
He was currently wearing a simple, cream-colored soft shirt and a pair of plain black slacks.
Walking directly into his bedroom, he took out the Polymath Ring from his study table's drawer and slid it securely onto his finger.
Then, channeling his spirituality into the item, his physical form faded away from the quiet room, slipping right into the strange, multicolored layers of the Spirit World.
He was using the imitated 'traveling' ability of the Door pathway.

A/N:- Sorry for the 'no update ' yesterday, I was busy.
On the other hand, i don't know what to
write— I mean I completely intend to finish the book, and I have many arcs and things to write about when jace is sequence 5 and 4.
But I never really consider about what to write in the sequence 6 arc other than a thing or two I had already planned to write.
So i need a little fresh perspective here, give me some good ideas.
Seriously, or i just might mess this up.
