Chapter 31 - Chapter 31- A Night To Remember

The night before the date was anything but calm.

Everyone had something on their mind.

Daniel sat with his team pass in hand, quietly preparing for the attack.

Timothy lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering who would have to dress feminine between him and Daniel.

Maya was with Tan, carefully planning outfits for the date.

Janaya stood in front of her mirror, trying on different dresses—she always loved to stand out.

Damian was at his office, working late into the night. A contract deadline loomed over him for the next day.

Jason, on the other hand, was on a video call with Elena. The two of them were picking outfits and rehearsing possible questions. Neither of them knew what to expect, but the anticipation made it exciting.

Janaya, however, was bothered.

Damian hadn't said anything about what he'd wear.

She picked up her phone and started typing.

"Hey my husband"

"My baby"

"The air I breathe"

She hadn't even finished when his reply came in.

"What do you want again, woman?"

Janaya smiled.

"So… what will you be wearing for the date? I want to match with you."

"That's the least of my worries right now, babe," Damian replied immediately.

"But I still need to know 🥺"

There was a short pause.

Then—

"Okay. Prepare something for me. I'll wear whatever you choose."

And just like that, he locked his phone and went back to work.

Janaya grinned.

"Okay, my husband."

She walked straight to his closet.

"This man has way too many black outfits," she muttered, pushing clothes aside as she searched.

Meanwhile, Jason and Elena were done picking outfits.

Now they were rehearsing.

"What if they ask who made the first move?" Elena asked.

"Say it's me," Jason replied immediately.

"Nah. It's me—and I'm proud of it," Elena said.

"Who asked who out?" she continued.

"I asked you out."

"No, I did."

"You were just faster than me, so technically I asked you," Jason argued.

Elena raised a brow.

"Why are you so scared of saying I asked you out?"

Jason sighed.

"Because I know my friends. Babe… let's just stick to my version."

Elena laughed softly.

"Okay. I can't wait to meet them honestly."

A message popped into the group chat.

Maya:

"So I booked a reservation at Aurelia Noir for 6PM tomorrow. Whoever comes late pays the bills."

"Okay okay! Don't do that. I don't even know when Damian will be home tomorrow," Janaya replied.

"That's the rule, Janaya. Damian is capable," Maya said

"Tan too is capable," Janaya shot back.

"Girls, calm down. Jason will pay the bills," Timothy typed.

Daniel's POV

"Have you replaced the bartender with our men?" Daniel asked coldly.

"All sorted, sir. Every staff member on shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM is ours."

"The buses—have they been stationed at the restaurant's parking area?"

"It will be done before the time, sir."

Daniel's expression darkened.

"It should be done now. We're dealing with Damian. I don't want any room for suspicion."

"Yes, sir."

The assistant quickly pulled out his phone to make the call.

Daniel leaned back slightly.

Everything was falling into place.

And just like that…

The plan was set.

The city lights shimmered like diamonds under the night sky, but nothing shone brighter than Aurelia Noir.

The restaurant stood like a statement of power—tall glass walls reflecting gold-tinted lights, with sleek black marble running from the entrance steps to the grand doors. A soft glow of warm amber lighting spilled out, giving the place a seductive, almost dangerous elegance.

Luxury cars lined the entrance.

Valets moved with precision.

Security stood sharp-eyed.

Soft instrumental music floated faintly through the air.

Inside, Aurelia Noir was even more breathtaking.

Crystal chandeliers hung like falling stars from the high ceiling, their reflections dancing across polished marble floors. The walls were a mix of deep black panels and gold accents, with soft velvet drapes framing each private section.

Every table was perfectly spaced—intimate, exclusive.

This wasn't just a restaurant.

It was a place where deals were made…

and secrets buried.

First Arrival – Jason & Elena

A sleek black sports car rolled to a stop at the entrance.

Jason stepped out first, adjusting his sleeve with a confident smirk.

Tonight, he wore a fitted black suit with subtle silver detailing—simple, but sharp.

Then Elena stepped out.

Matching him perfectly.

She wore a stunning black dress with silver accents that hugged her figure effortlessly. The dress shimmered slightly under the lights, elegant yet bold.

They looked like a statement.

Power. Beauty. Balance.

Jason glanced at her and smiled.

"Yeah… they're not ready for you."

Elena laughed softly, linking her arm with his.

"I think they're not ready for us."

Together, they walked in.

Second Arrival – Maya & Tan

A white luxury sedan pulled up next.

Tan stepped out first, slightly nervous but composed.

He wore a clean white suit, minimal but classy.

Then Maya stepped out—

And everything shifted.

She wore a soft white dress that flowed just above the ground, light and graceful, with delicate details that made her look almost untouchable.

They matched perfectly.

Calm. Pure. Effortless.

Maya held his hand tightly.

"Relax," she whispered.

"I'm trying," Tan replied, letting out a small breath.

They walked in together, slower… softer.

Third Arrival – Timothy & Daniel

A dark grey car pulled up quietly.

Timothy stepped out first, adjusting his jacket.

He wore a deep wine-colored suit, bold and eye-catching.

Then Daniel stepped out.

Matching him.

Same tone. Same elegance. But where Timothy looked playful—

Daniel looked dangerous.

His expression was calm, unreadable.

His eyes scanned the environment briefly.

Calculating.

Observing.

"Don't tell me you're actually enjoying this," Timothy said.

Daniel smirked faintly.

"Just play your part."

They walked in side by side.

Final Arrival – Damian & Janaya

Then—

A black luxury car pulled up.

Not flashy.

But powerful.

The kind that didn't need attention to command it.

The door opened.

Damian stepped out.

Immediately, the air shifted.

He wore an all-black outfit—perfectly tailored, sharp, intimidating. His presence alone carried authority. His expression was cold, distant.

Untouchable.

Then—

Janaya stepped out.

Wearing black.

Matching him.

Her dress hugged her frame perfectly, elegant with just enough edge to mirror his energy.

They didn't just match.

They aligned.

Power. Control. Attraction.

Janaya walked closer to him, slipping her hand into his.

Damian didn't look at her immediately.

His eyes scanned the environment first.

Every corner.

Every movement.

Every face.

Then finally—

He looked down at her.

Soft. Just for a second.

"Stay close," he said quietly.

Janaya smiled.

"Always."

Together, they walked toward the entrance.

And as the doors of Aurelia Noir opened—

None of them knew…

They had just walked into something far bigger than a date.
