Mira continued her examination, checking each wound, each bruise, her expression growing more troubled.
"Tell me exactly what happened," she finally said. "No deflecting. No protecting pride. I need to know everything if I'm going to help her."
Roshan chose his words carefully.
"We went to the Northern Ravine for the silver ore. She had... a vision. Seemed to know exactly where to find it."
'Not a lie. She did know where to go.'
"We found it. Gathered what we needed. But then something attacked."
Mira's hands stilled. "What kind of something?"
"I'm not entirely sure. It grabbed her. Dragged her into a cave before we could react."
'Also not a lie. Just leaving out the parts about cursed blessed ones and divine energy and—'
"A cave." Mira's tone was carefully neutral. "In the Northern Ravine."
"Yes."
"And this... something. You didn't see what it was?"
"The cave collapsed during the confrontation. We barely escaped."
