Chapter 80 - Project AHIH

Entering the bunker with Jack, AHIH looked around the place.

It was a very modern facility, one would believe that this wasn't Eltaria but Earth.

Jack doing the same looked around and found a light switch.

-Hey, there is a light switch.

AHIH looked in the direction Jack spoke and pressed the light switch revealing a very clean hallway with white ceramic floor tiles.

On the ceiling seemed to be light bulbs every few meters covered by a diffuse.

Jack felt a strange feeling, something that couldn't be described but a feeling that he remembered from long ago.

-Why does this place feel like Salvation's Mansion? And why is it so well maintained?

AHIH walking down the hallway and taking one of the stairs that had a sign with 'Shipyard' written on it.

It responded to Jack's questions.

-This place is partially in the Conceptual Layer of reality, all divine realms or realms tied to this world are inside of it.

-Salvation's Mansion is also there.

-Also the state from when the researchers a thousand years ago left is maintained.

Now inside the shipyard AHIH and Jack could see a very large Steel doorway that could let out a very large ship through.

The entire Shipyard was on the inside of the Facility, but there were no ships in sight.

On the other side of the room opposite to the Large Steel Doors was a window overlook that could be reached if you walked on another set of stairs, the overlook was also connected to another part of the Facility.

AHIH walked up the stairs and opened the pristine metallic door to reveal the perfectly preserved corpse of a senior researcher sitting on a chair.

There was no smell.

He was about sixty when he died and had a short beard.

Jack floated towards the researcher and inspected him.

-He is dead.

AHIH responded.

-He died from poison, he is the researcher that sent off the rest of the researchers and guards on a prototype ship.

-He is also the man that preserved the research of this place which would otherwise be destroyed.

Jack looked back at AHIH.

-That's very selfless.

AHIH laughed at the response.

-Heh, he did it out of selfish reasons, he was unwilling to give up hundreds of years of research simply because the Empire fell.

-He even tricked the researchers and guards to board the ship just to lock them on it and send them off.

-This is while fully knowing that the ship will eventually fail.

Jack was silent for a second.

-I'll take back what I said.

AHIH also added while opening the door further into the facility.

-Oh, there were three people on that ship that survived.

-They are the guys that founded the church of Mardrago.

Walking deeper inside of it AHIH and Jack passed by a few other rooms before eventually entering another overlook.

In the room bellow through the windows you could see many tubes containing violet liquids and a lot of other pieces of technology to the side.

In the middle an empty circular platform on the floor and another just above, all the previously mentioned were connected to this, in the circular part above many different mechanical appendages with thin syringes could be seen.

In the overlook a red button could be seen with nothing else.

AHIH looked at the button.

-I love the fact that they simplified the process.

Jack looked at the whole thing in shock.

-Is this still the same world? Even on earth I don't think we have this.

AHIH looked towards Jack

-This is the product of hundreds of years of research without progress being restrained by Causality, Combined with the Will Exchange Law which allows much better control of the laws of physics this is quite normal.

-And since its inside of the Conceptual Layer this thing still works perfectly, even if a deity wanted it destroyed it wouldn't be possible.

-Though it takes twenty years to recover the energy to activate the project again after a usage.

As AHIH said that it pressed on the red button, surprising Jack.

-Wait are you just activating it like that?

AHIH responded as it quickly walked down the stairs towards the circular platform.

-Why not, I am the one that this is made for, by my future self for the current me.

-The only consequence is that I will remember my memories that shaped me.

Jack asked curiously.

-Such as?

AHIH stopped in front of the platform.

-Like the time I dance on a TV stage as an invited spectator for myself, and one of the people watching said that it was the most 'Tribal Dance' They ever saw.

-Like when I was young I had a bee enter my nose and I got scared.

-Like when I was younger and I was talking into an imagined scenario my father asked me if I was talking to myself.

-All the memories., like fun ones or embarrassing ones.

-The good the bad.

-The ones I learn and study as a kid.

-The ones I play games, read comics and waste my time.

Jack looked at AHIH.

-Those are quite normal memories.

AHIH stepped on the platform before responding.

-I am normal.
