Chapter 78 - Shopkeeper

Victor's room at the same time.

Just like before AHIH was pacing around, this time unlike before it was in Salvation's form and was much deeper inside its memories.

This memory takes place Three hundred years into the future, this was AHIH's past.

AHIH had entered underneath the Giant tree from before, this place was called the underpasses, it was dark but for some strange reason the light from the outside still reached deep inside.

Just as outside, AHIH was in the form of Salvation, this was a form it couldn't change due to it currently being a human.

It still carried the demon body parts.

The walls and floor were made out of tree roots, it was not that the giant tree itself grew, but the space that held the tree bark extended the roots.

AHIH spoke, seemingly to itself.

-Such a nauseating place.

Another very familiar voice spoke from somewhere, a young man's voice that seemed to sound from inside and not from the outside.

-Say, why did you tell them off in that way?

AHIH looked around seeming looking for the source, not finding it she just spoke.

-Why aren't you manifesting yourself?

The voice immediately responded.

-Last time I was here the hounds almost killed me around three hundred years ago, they might recognize me.

AHIH responded.

-The hounds don't attack unless you do, at most they just throw you out of the passages.

-Also you are a spirit Jack, you can't die unless God decides you do.

Jack scoffed at that response.

-Calling your future self God seems to be a trend you intend to keep?

-Do you consider the yourself from the future when you were Victor your current God?

AHIH was silent for a few seconds before it spoke.

-I'm going to the Shop.

Jack was stunned at the response.

-What?

AHIH continued

-I'm going to the Shop.

A few seconds later another.

-I'm going to the Shop.

This response left Jack flabbergasted.

-Hey is this some way of ignoring my question?

AHIH continued repeating.

-I'm going to the Shop.

Jack spoke up.

-Hey! Is this some new form of harassment?

-I know I'm a normal spirit and I can't do much against it but still!

Jack stopped his attempts to get AHIH to stop repeating the words, he saw something he didn't saw here last time.

It was a red door, in the middle of the hallway made of roots.

On it was written 'Shop'.

Not waiting for Jack's response AHIH entered the door.

The shop itself was much stranger than the local shops of the world, it was a modern convenience store.

-A convenience store? How? Did the world advance so much in just three hundred years?

AHIH cleared its throat before responding.

-While the world did reach nearly modern tech, minus the digital stuff and guns.

-But that is not the reason.

Jack manifested and looked around, it was a somewhat tangible form, he still floated around and he looked the same age he was three hundred years ago.

Looking around Jack saw the shopkeeper behind the modern counter, seeing Jack's reaction AHIH asked.

-The shop and shopkeeper changes form to depending on who enters, it is to fit the image the user expects.

-How do you see the Shopkeeper?

Jack stood there for a moment.

-Its a light pink version of Ma'am Sorceress.

AHIH laughed a little before speaking.

-So that's your type.

Jack taken aback responded.

-No its not!

AHIH smiling responded.

-It's ok I have many types of both sides that I like, one of them its just like yours.

Jack let out an exhaling sound.

-I should have known better than to respond to your provocations.

AHIH began walking to the counter.

-Greetings, I'm here to trade my sense of pain away.

From Jack's perspective the pink haired shopkeeper smiled before responding.

-Of course, but before that a message from your older self.

AHIH waited for the message, as if this was expected response.

The shopkeeper continued, In AHIH's current voice as well.

-You have the option to not go forward with the plan.

-I already made sure that everything won't fall apart, you can still live somewhat normally.

-Only you have the option to refuse this fate, the moment you make this deal you cannot break away from integrating into the Main Body.

AHIH closed its eyes before responding.

-Let's continue the deal.

The shopkeeper swapped its voice to Sorceresses.

-What do you desire in return?

AHIH after a moment spoke again.

-I wish to store the value for later use.

The shopkeeper spoke again, as a credit card materialized.

-Very well, every-time you enter this will materialize with you.

-It can also make any door a temporary door way to the Shop Realm, given enough energy.

During this whole process the ability of feeling any sort of pain was traded away.

AHIH smiled.

-Is that so you won't have to pay TIME her share?

The shopkeeper Chuckled.

-A business person knows to avoid taxes?

AHIH looked at the shopkeeper.

-I have to go now, I have something to finish.

The shopkeeper continued smiling.

-Have a nice day, and remember to recommend us to your friends and family!
