The elite fox-kin guard was holding a pair of heavy iron fire-tongs. Pinched between the tongs was a thick, highly ornate scroll wrapped in shimmering silver silk. The scroll was actively glowing, radiating a faint, incredibly pretentious golden mist.
"Burn it," Akira said instantly. He was sitting on the futon across the room, casually polishing his armor. He didn't even glance at the scroll.
"My Lord, it is forged from spirit-parchment," Ginji replied lazily, holding the glowing object at arm's length. "It is immune to normal fire."
"Then feed it to the cat," Akira ordered.
