The crystal chandelier gave the mansion foyer a brilliant illumination. A runner carpet extended from the front doors to a central staircase. This grand set of stairs led to the second floor. Dark wood floors and gaudy, floral wallpaper dated the mansion as old. The wallpaper, end tables, and stair railing all had a veneer of dust on them. Cobwebs tarnished the chandelier, windows, banisters, and corners. There were plenty of doors on both levels, all closed.

"Dreary, dusty, and lifeless – reminds me of home," Gamer felt melancholic. He and Minnie scoped the foyer out, and were surprised nobody received them. Gamer pondered, "Granted, I feel like Persica mentioned a mansion before..."

"Do you think anybody lives here? Hellooo!" Minnie called. No response.

"Well, if it's empty, we can always claim it. Needs a bit of a house flip here, some cleaning mama there," Gamer envisioned a sparkling abode to call his own. Depending on how long he'd be in the virtual world, a home base would be handy.

"I wonder where Persica and Asterion are..." Minnie peered out the window. Gamer's hypothesis proved true; the undead that pursued them lumbered away from the mansion. They were safe inside.

"If they're smart, they'll come running in here any second now. Let's find the kitchen and raid the fridge," Gamer played eeny-meeny with the doors at random.

A startling laugh alerted the two towards the coffered ceiling. The laugh sounded like sped up dog barks. They didn't see anything initially, until a white sphere halfway emerged from the ceiling. It glided along the grid design.

"Is that a boob?" Gamer inquired.

Another orb appeared next to it, and they both traveled in a line together.

"A butt?" Minnie guessed.

Gamer narrowed his eyes, "Maybe balls?"

A third orb appeared near the corner, and a grinning mouth with sharp teeth and a long tongue appeared on it.

More of the cackling reverberated through the foyer. A bunch of orbs started to fully emerge from every surface. They were volleyball-sized white wisps, with toothy maws and small eyes. The cackling came from them and droned like a beehive.

Gamer's skin crawled and face turned pale. Minnie gawked at the large number of ghostly apparitions. They screamed and hugged one another.

"I remember what Persica told me!" Gamer's whole body shook. He quickly scrolled to the top of the page to see the part's title. He gulped when he read the word 'Haunted', "We gotta get the fuck out of here!"

"Aaah!" Minnie panicked.

"Bro, calm your tits! They aren't real!" Samira tried to ease her brother.

"Easy for you to say! You're not the one with a fear of ghosts!"

"૮( •̀ Ⱉ •́ )ა Swiggity swooty! Gimme that booty!" Samira popped up her text closer to Gamer's face. He squealed and she ( ≧ᗜ≦)

Gamer and Minnie retreated to the front doors and yanked on them. Try as they might, the doors wouldn't budge. They were sealed in.

"No! Please, I beg of you! I'm too young to be ghosted!" Gamer panicked.

A girly giggle, but still similar to the babas, came from above, "Silly, nobody escapes from Ouija's Mansion. You're family now...and forever."

Gamer and Minnie imprinted their bodies into the doors and cast their bugged eyes up at the one who spoke. A young woman with pale skin, long, lavender hair, and big eyes floated near the chandelier. She posed like a superstar and her red eyes struck Gamer's nerves. Her tongue hung out of her mouth, and her razor sharp teeth were on full display. An adorable little crown topped her head. She wore a white fit-to-form dress reminiscent of a wedding gown. It draped from her hips and revealed her legs, with stockings and cute heel shoes. Her dress's squeeze on her bosom would make a tailor sweat. They were less blam and more blaow! Her whole form was slightly translucent.

The ghost queen leered, "Mistakes were made."

Babas nosedived at Gamer and Minnie. They zipped by and insistently cackled. A dozen of them circled their queen and bobbed to an eerie jaunt she sang. Her voice echoed like the screams of the damned. Gamer and Minnie dashed around like headless chickens. They heeded their heads and yelped for help. The closest door was to the left. They bolted through it.

They entered a dining hall. A long table topped with rotten food and drink ruined the elegance of the room. The plates hanging on the walls and the silverware on the table jittered on their own. Babas faded in and out of visibility, and timed their laughs alongside the beat of their queen's song.

More babas burst through the dining hall door thanks to their incorporeal forms. It spooked Gamer and Minnie. They ran past the dark supper and through the door on the opposite side of the room.

They were in a hallway that stretched to the right and left. The portraits of people on the wall were malformed to look like babas. Evil curled their grins and warped their frames. Gamer and Minnie ragdolled themselves through the next nearest door and collapsed into a kitchen.

Dirty and clean dishes lined the counters, a huge refrigerator and freezer were found next to an industrial, human-sized oven. There was no paranormal activity. Even the ghost queen's singing faded away.

Gamer flailed like he was covered in roaches, "Gah! I hate it! I hate ghosts!"

Minnie petted her hands to soothe herself, "I'm actually surprised you're afraid of something. You always seem so brave."

Gamer aggressively rubbed his face, "I have had a fear of ghosts ever since I was a kid. If the Game Masters knew me well enough, they would have stuck me in a survival horror game. I'd just roll over and die."

"Excuse me, can you hold this for me?" the ghost queen, slightly behind Gamer, handed her decapitated head over.

"Oh, sure," Gamer took the head out of courtesy. His frazzled rant then continued, "Jump scares are the worst, too. Especially when you anticipate their arrival, and the atmosphere and music just build it up."

"I understand. The stories of undead shellies have always frightened me. To see them was the worst thing. Ever. Of all time," Minnie wished she could wipe her memory.

"I freak out when something disappears after you glance at it," the ghost queen's head said. "Then you do a double take, and it's gone! Oooh!"

"Ominous things standing still in the dark are my turn off. Facing away, and twitching (•᷄- •᷅ ;) gives me the heebie jeebies!" Samira added.

"I can't stand any of it," Gamer concurred.

The ghost queen tapped Gamer on the shoulder and gestured for him to give her head back. She happily beamed, "Okay, I'll take that back. Thanks!"

"Yeah, no problem," Gamer handed it back. He faced Minnie and said, "Anyhow, we..."

It dawned on Gamer and Minnie. They looked over at the ghost queen, who fastened her head back on. She stuck her tongue out and smiled, "Alright! Ready for the encore!"

Gamer and Minnie became heated tea kettles. The chaos amplified around them when babas sprang from the cabinets and cupboards. The flames of the stove roared to life and its door unhinged like a hungry hippopotamus. The refrigerator and freezer gasped open and filled the room with a chilly fog. Cooking utensils flung around the room, the ghosts trying to play darts with Gamer and Minnie's eyes.

Gamer and Minnie bailed. They phased through the ghost queen and caused her to blush. She covered her eyes and squealed, "Not inside me!"

Gamer and Minnie clambered into the babas' hectic hallway. They rocketed towards one of the end doors. They burst through to a stairwell that led up and to a second floor hallway. The windows in this hallway were being picked at by the trees outside. Their branches scratched like gnarly nails. After rounding a corner, they found another door. They entered into the library.
