A FEW MINUTES LATER

The warmth didn't last, it never does. Huan stood there, arms crossed, watching everyone eat as they had just discovered life again. Satisfied for exactly three seconds, then he turned, and his gaze landed on one person.
"Alexander Vale."Huan said.
The entire cafeteria froze. Director Alexander Vale stood near the entrance. Calm, composed and unbothered.
"Yes." Alexander said.
Huan pointed at the trays.
"You feed them this?" He asked.
"We discussed improvements." Alexander replied.
"You allowed it." Huan said.
"I did." Alexander nodded.
Huan turned slightly, his gaze shifted to Clare and then Isabella.
"You teach survival." He said.
"Yes." Clare replied.
"You teach them how to live." Huan added.
"That is the goal." Isabella said.
"And you let them eat like this?" Huan asked.
Silence.
"We prioritized curriculum." Clare admitted.
"You prioritized wrong." Huan said.
"I KNEW IT." Riko whispered.
"You know nothing." Ben said.
