Loreen's POV
Lord Huron cleared his throat. "I think it is clear," he said, settling back into his seat with the composure of a man who had decided to move on whether everyone else was ready or not, "that the matter of the queen has been investigated and is largely beyond what this council can control today. She will be found or she will not. The constabulary will do its work."
He folded his hands on the table as he continued. "What I would like to turn our attention to is a matter that is very much within our control. A present problem that affects the future of this kingdom directly."
He looked at the king and then at Loreen.
"Lady Candice is dead," Huron said. "And as much as I grieve her passing, the fact remains that Prince Loreen is without a bride. The crown is without a future queen. That is not a small matter and it is not one we can afford to leave unaddressed."
