Chapter 94 - Sasuke’s Training

Inside the hospital room, after chatting for a while,

Yagyu glanced at Sasuke by the window and said thoughtfully:

"Also, the reason I came today is to talk about Sasuke. The training plan I arranged for him isn't meant to-"

-to take your student away.

That was what Yagyu intended to say.

But before he could finish, Kakashi raised his hand and stopped him.

"Yagyu-kun,"

Kakashi said with a smile,

"No need to explain. I've already looked over the training plan you set for Sasuke, as well as your suggestions for developing the Sharingan. It's practically perfect—especially your methods for developing the Sharingan. Even I found them very insightful."

At this point, Kakashi couldn't help but sigh with emotion,

"To be honest, if you two weren't classmates and friends, Sasuke becoming your student would actually be more appropriate."

Those words came straight from Kakashi's heart.

Even if they sounded a bit bitter.

After seeing Yagyu's training plan and realizing that Yagyu had expanded the Chidori, a technique Kakashi himself created, into an entire series of lightning-style jutsu Kakashi understood something clearly.

Yagyu was the most suitable teacher for Sasuke.

Bar none.

Although it felt a bit awkward to have his own student guided by someone else, for Sasuke's sake Kakashi had no choice.

Because earlier, Kakashi had already sensed that Sasuke was slowly being consumed by his desire for power. If it continued, he might eventually become a rogue ninja.

Now, with Yagyu someone Sasuke genuinely respected by his side, Kakashi actually felt relieved.

There was no reason to stop Yagyu from guiding Sasuke anymore.

Setting Kakashi's thoughts aside, after hearing his words, all three members of Team 7 showed faint smiles.

This outcome was the best possible result for Sasuke receiving Yagyu's guidance.

"Becoming my student is unnecessary,"

Yagyu said with a smile.

"I'm just helping a friend and a comrade. It's nothing special."

As he spoke,

Yagyu glanced at Naruto, whose eyes had suddenly lit up, and immediately added:

"Naruto, you're out. Just focus on mastering the Rasengan and building your fundamentals properly. And besides there's someone far more suitable than me to be your teacher."

That person, of course, was Jiraiya.

Yagyu wasn't the right choice for Naruto.

Hearing this, Naruto's expression stiffened, and he looked visibly dejected, but he didn't say anything more.

After chatting a bit longer, Yagyu left Kakashi's hospital room.

His purpose for coming today had simply been to talk to Kakashi about Sasuke that was all.

In the blink of an eye, three days passed.

At Training Ground 7 in Konohagakure.

Boom!

The roar of ninjutsu explosions echoed.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Sparks flew as weapons collided.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The dull sounds of rapid taijutsu clashes rang out.

Inside the training ground, Yagyu's body was wrapped in lightning-style chakra as he relentlessly overwhelmed Sasuke in combat.

There was no sign of him holding back at all.

With every punch and kick, he forced Sasuke into a desperate defense, leaving him with almost no room to counterattack.

Even so, Sasuke didn't utter a single complaint.

Instead, he gritted his teeth and endured it.

He didn't even pay attention to the injuries accumulating on his body.

Outside the field, Yagyu sat calmly atop a large tree, watching the battle between his shadow clone and Sasuke.

Though his eyes showed no obvious change, his three-tomoe Sharingan had long been activated, capturing every single movement Sasuke made.

Beside him, Naruto and Sakura watched the fight with shock written all over their faces.

Naruto clenched his fists, his expression turning serious:

"So… so strong! Has Sasuke really become this powerful?"

A strong desire to grow stronger surged within him a determination not to fall behind.

Yagyu glanced at Naruto, the corners of his lips lifting slightly:

"Looks like the winds of fate are about to start blowing fiercely."

He muttered to himself inwardly.

Then he shifted his gaze away from Naruto and looked toward Sakura it was about time to guide her toward Tsunade.

At the very least, after training under Tsunade, Sakura's combat ability would improve significantly.

The problem was, too many people compared Sakura to Naruto and Sasuke two outright "cheat-level" characters and then dismissed her as useless.

Honestly, that was unfair.

Looking across the entire ninja world, how many of the younger generation could truly compare to Naruto and Sasuke?

Even Gaara couldn't fully match them.

Sakura, after completing her training under Tsunade,

was not weak at all in fact, she was exceptionally strong.

Among the Konoha Twelve, her strength would rank near the top.

Guiding Sakura was necessary.

But there was no need to rush it.

Right now, she hadn't fully grown out of her infatuated mindset yet the timing wasn't right.

And just at that moment.

Boom.

The battle in the distance came to an end.

Sasuke was kicked away by Yagyu's shadow clone, crashing heavily onto the ground, instantly exhausted.

Seeing this, Yagyu raised his hand and dispelled the clone.

As the fight ended, Naruto and Sakura quickly rushed to Sasuke's side.

Looking at his battered body, both of them showed concern,

"Sasuke, are you okay?"

Breathing heavily, sasuke shook his head and said in a tired voice:

"I'm fine."

Tap, tap, tap.

Yagyu walked over and looked at Sasuke calmly,

"This is only the beginning. Sasuke, the time left for you isn't much at most, three years. Within those three years, I'll make sure you gain the strength to catch up to Itachi Uchiha… but that's only if you can keep up with the training."

Compared to Orochimaru, who only wanted to groom a vessel, Yagyu genuinely wanted to see what Sasuke's future would become under his full intervention.

And he was looking forward to it.

"I understand."

Hearing Yagyu's words, Sasuke, still sitting on the ground, forced himself to stand up:

"Bring it on."

Yagyu nodded in satisfaction:

"Good… rest for half an hour, eat something, and then we'll continue combat training."

After saying that, he put his hands behind his head and walked off to the side:

"Right now, your control over the Sharingan is still too immature. Carefully reflect on the mistakes you made in that fight. Only by constantly analyzing yourself can you keep improving."

Sasuke silently nodded.

Half an hour later.

Yagyu's combat training with Sasuke resumed once again.

Watching how hard Sasuke was pushing himself,

Naruto and Sakura quietly left, choosing not to disturb his training.

To be honest what Sasuke carried on his shoulders was not the same as what the two of them bore.
