The next day, early morning.
Waking up from his sleep, Yagyu spoke in his mind,
"System, start today's check-in."
[Ding! Check-in successful. Congratulations, you obtained: Sage Art: Yin Release Lightning Dispatch]
As the system's voice fell, Yagyu became fully awake, and instantly mastered the newly acquired technique.
"Sage Art: Yin Release Lightning Dispatch?"
As he sifted through the information in his mind, Yagyu's eyes grew brighter,
"A Six Paths senjutsu technique… Now that I've mastered it, does that mean I might already possess some level of Six Paths power? No… that's not quite right."
After thinking it over for a moment, Yagyu denied that idea in his mind,
"Strictly speaking, this technique is an ultimate Yin Release senjutsu. Since I have Indra's chakra and have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, it makes sense that I can use it."
Most importantly.
Yagyu had also mastered perfect Sage Mode.
With those combined, acquiring this technique was only natural.
Getting up and putting on his clothes, Yagyu revealed a thoughtful expression:
"So this technique can only be used when the Mangekyō Sharingan is active and Sage Mode is entered… For me, it's somewhat redundant."
With his current strength activating the Mangekyō Sharingan along with Sage Mode already allowed him to dominate almost anyone in the ninja world.
So Sage Art: Yin Release Lightning Dispatch felt a bit unnecessary.
Still, it was better than nothing.
Maybe he could even develop new lightning-style techniques from it.
After heading downstairs,
Yagyu had breakfast with his mother before leaving the house and heading to the flower shop next door Ino's home.
"Good morning, Sōsuke!"
As he entered the shop, Ino's mother greeted him with a smile,
"You're here so early what's the occasion?"
Ever since she started seeing Yagyu as her future son-in-law,
she had grown more and more satisfied with him.
In the current Konoha,
could there be any young man more outstanding than Yagyu?
Absolutely not.
Even in Konoha's entire history, there were only a handful who could compare to him at the same age.
How could she not be pleased with such a son-in-law?
"Auntie, good morning!"
Greeting his future mother-in-law, Yagyu then asked,
"Did Ino head out on a mission again?"
Shaking her head, Ino's mother looked at Yagyu and smiled slightly,
"No, they don't seem to have any missions today, so Inoichi took her along for other work. His duties in the future will still be inherited by Ino."
At this point, Ino's mother paused for a moment.
Then she looked at Yagyu with a teasing smile:
"And that girl… she doesn't want to completely fall behind you either. She has her own ninja way that she wants to uphold."
Hearing this, Yagyu immediately understood.
Although Ino often complained about being tired when she was with him, deep down, she had never once slacked off she didn't seek to catch up to Yagyu, but at the very least, she didn't want to be left too far behind.
Her boyfriend was simply too outstanding.
And Ino, being a very proud girl herself, naturally felt a lot of pressure because of that.
So she would never allow herself to stagnate.
Even slowing down her progress slightly was something she wouldn't accept.
She had truly started working hard.
It was just that her direction of effort was different from others who focused purely on increasing combat strength.
Yagyu understood exactly what Ino's mother meant.
In short Ino's growth was because of you.
A gentle smile appeared on Yagyu's face, one that came straight from the heart.
"I understand, Auntie. Please trust me I will never let Ino suffer even the slightest grievance in the future."
Ino's mother smiled and nodded.
She didn't continue the topic further.
About ten minutes later, holding a bouquet of flowers, Yagyu left the flower shop and headed straight to the Konoha Hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, he went directly to Kakashi's room and knocked on the door.
Click.
The door opened, revealing Sakura. She was slightly surprised to see Yagyu.
"Good morning, Yagyu-kun!"
After a brief pause, Sakura greeted him politely,
"Please come in."
Yagyu nodded and walked into the room.
At a glance, he saw all three members of Team 7 present, along with Kakashi lying on the bed, looking completely drained.
Handing the flowers to Sakura, Yagyu then looked at Sasuke, who was sitting on the windowsill, and Naruto, who was on a chair.
"You guys don't have a mission?"
Seeing how well-dressed and relaxed they looked, Yagyu asked curiously:
"The village is extremely busy right now. How is Team 7 so free?"
Hearing this, both Sasuke and Naruto turned their resentful gazes toward Kakashi, who was lying on the hospital bed.
"…It's not like we want to be this idle!"
Naruto spoke with obvious frustration and resentment, glaring at Kakashi,
"But with Kakashi-sensei not around, Granny Tsunade won't assign us any missions at all, so we can only stay idle for now!"
As soon as Naruto finished speaking, Sasuke casually added from the side:
"I don't really mind. I've been continuing my training plan lately. Not taking missions actually lets my strength improve faster… though I still want to test just how much stronger I've become."
That was the truth.
During the time Yagyu was away in the Land of Snow, Sasuke had been strictly following the training plan Yagyu gave him every single day, while also practicing the Chidori-based techniques.
He could clearly feel his strength growing at a rapid pace.
Because of that when Yagyu saw Sasuke again this time, he could noticeably sense a more confident and brighter aura around him.
As for the last member, Sakura, she simply smiled and didn't say much. At this stage, she wasn't particularly enthusiastic about going on missions anyway.
The most awkward one present, was Kakashi lying on the hospital bed.
"Sorry about that,"
Kakashi said with an embarrassed smile.
"But I should recover soon. At most, give it another week, and I'll be fine."
After his battle with Uchiha Itachi, Kakashi's injuries had been extremely severe.
Taking this long to recover was only natural.
After apologizing, Kakashi turned his gaze toward Yagyu:
"And… Yagyu-kun, thank you very much for completing the mission I failed to finish back then."
Shrugging, Yagyu replied indifferently:
"It was just my duty and part of the mission. Besides, you were someone I once looked up to helping you clean things up is only natural."
That was the truth even though Kakashi often looked half-dead and "drained" putting everything else aside, he was still someone who treated his comrades fairly well.
