Neo doubted his ears. He looked left and right, checking if there was anyone else whom Helios could have spoken to, since it obviously couldn't have been him.
When Neo discovered that there actually was no one else in the room and Helios was staring straight at him to show that he was the one he spoke to.
"You're sorry?" Neo asked for confirmation.
Helios nodded, then he scooted his chair closer.
"I shouldn't have attacked you that night," Helios covered his embarrassed voice with a cough.
He was not aware of it, but the tips of his ears, which were revealed as his purple hair was packed into a top bun, were burning red.
"I can't explain what came over me that day. I honestly didn't plan to- you know?" Helios bared his small fangs as he spoke. "I was just angry when I saw you there. You hadn't even been up for a week and you were already fighting.
"It was annoying to see the person that I…" He didn't complete the rest of his words, letting them die in his throat.
