Not joking.

Just watching.

She was arguing with someone again.
Explaining something confidently.
Same attitude.
Same fire.
And he smiled.
Softly.
"Still the same…" he thought.
A memory flashed.
A small girl.
Fighting with boys in school.
Not letting anyone win.

standing there,
watching her.

Aditi slipped slightly.

Lavesh held her.

"You should be more careful," he said.

"Why do you suddenly care so much?" she asked.

"I always did," he said.
Without thinking.
Silence.
Aditi blinked.
"What?"
He realized what he said.
But didn't take it back.

But it was too late.
The words had meaning.
And she felt it.

Ayush watched Poonam again.

he wasn't just confused.
He was restless.

he thought.
But then he saw her laughing.

Happy.
And he stopped himself again.

Abhi looked at her.
"Because things are getting better."
She didn't reply.
