Chapter 92: Grouping Up; Three Main Teams and Seven Sub-Divisions!
...
As all the mid-level officers assembled, the Executives took their seats. Seito scanned the room and spoke calmly.
"First, let's look at the event details."
The group opened the event interface to review the parameters for the upcoming
"War of Factions."
[Event: War of Factions]
Description: This event features countless "Factions." Each faction has a maximum capacity of 10,000 players. To achieve final victory, you must either conquer or eliminate other factions. Each faction must choose a "King." Protect your King at all costs!
Rule 1: Players can "Directly Choose" or "Randomly Match" with a faction.
Rule 2: Direct Selection is only available for players within the same guild.
Rule 3: Random Matching can be done in parties or solo.
King's Ranking: Not yet opened.
Current Registrations: 610 Million (Eastern Sever players only).
Countdown: 30 minutes.
Seito lowered his head in thought. A cap of 10,000 players per faction meant the number of competing groups would be staggering. However, the ability to conquer or eliminate others felt like a digital era of the Warring States. For a top-tier guild like theirs, the biggest advantage was the ability to curate their own 10,000-man roster.
He checked the prize pool.
1st Place: Mystery Gift Pack.
2nd Place: Lord Order.
3rd Place: Randomly upgrade one piece of personal equipment to Gold Tier.
The rewards were incredible. Seito knew from experience that the Mystery Gift Pack would likely be even better than the one he received the first time. Since the 3rd place reward was equivalent to what the Western server's top player had won previously, the value of the 1st place prize was unimaginable.
"For this event, we will divide into three Main Strike Teams," Seito announced, looking at Sora and Shiro. "The rest of the guild will be led by the Officers. We will rendezvous after the event begins."
"No objections!" Sora grinned.
"Whatever Seito-nii says~" Shiro added quietly.
Seito nodded and began assigning the Executives. "Maple and Sally, you two follow Shiro for Team 1."
Logic: Shiro provided long-range artillery, Maple was the ultimate shield, and Sally handled high-speed mobility. It was a perfectly balanced trio.
"Got it!" Maple chirped, and Sally gave a thumbs-up.
Next, Seito turned to Haruno and Amou. "SunnyCat and Empress, you two follow Sora for Team 2. Take Ako with you as your healer."
Logic: Sora and Amou were frontline monsters capable of violent breakthroughs, while Haruno was now a high-burst long-range mage. Adding Ako as a dedicated priest provided a safety net.
"No problem." Sora nodded, having grown more comfortable around the intimidating duo of Amou and Haruno.
Finally, only Seito and Kanade were left. "Kanade, you're with me for Team 3."
At Seito's level of power, he didn't really need a balanced team. He could go anywhere. Kanade simply nodded in agreement.
"As for the rest of you," Seito addressed the 500 officers. "Divide yourselves into seven Sub-Divisions. Group up freely."
The officers immediately looked toward Haruno Yukinoshita. As the guild's administrator, she had always been their direct superior. Haruno didn't miss a beat and began efficiently organizing the five hundred leaders into seven distinct units.
Once the groups were set, Seito flicked his Executive overcoat. "Let's move!"
.....
God's Domain, Floor 20.
The Safe Zone was a sea of humanity. From above, the players looked like a massive, swarming mound of ants. There were at least 300 million players visible, and the number was rising every second.
Suddenly, rows of players dressed in identical black suits began to spawn, drawing every eye in the vicinity.
"The Fatui are here!"
"Man, I bet they're going to sweep the top three rewards again."
"Keep your voice down... I heard their members have nasty tempers."
"Nasty? They look pretty disciplined to me."
"That's only because the Executives are right there! If they hear you talking trash, they'll hunt you back to Level 1!"
As the crowd whispered, the Executives stepped out from the teleportation plaza. The sheer pressure radiating from the group, backed by hundreds of black-suited elite members, silenced the area.
Seito ignored the stares and led his group toward the edge of the Safe Zone to find a quieter place to rest. Just as they sat down, an out-of-place voice drifted from behind.
"Which guild is this?"
"Hey brothers, could you make some room for us? We were planning to rest in this spot."
"Much appreciated, friends!"
Seito looked toward one of his officers, a man nicknamed 'Old Twenty-Eight.'
"Twenty-Eight, what's going on?"
"Guild Leader, it seems another guild just arrived. They saw the open space we're occupying and want us to clear out so they can sit. The other leader... well, he sounds very 'polite' about it."
