If We Are Together, We Can Win
Kriti started to fight against 007 with her Taekwondo skills as she was a blue belt, while Siddharth helped her control the Ascalon sword.
But they soon realized that 007 was far stronger than them.
Kriti threw a tornado kick at 007, injuring him for the first time. They exchanged several blows.
007 started to feel excited and said creepily,
"Wow, let's fight more… more… more… more!"
Kriti asked Siddharth, "Is he out of his mind?"
Siddharth replied, "Don't know, just end him now."
007 suddenly grabbed Kriti by the neck and started to choke her.
Siddharth quickly controlled Kriti's hand using the Ascalon and cut off 007's hand.
007 screamed,
"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!"
"You lowly human, you have that much potential," he said, starting to regenerate his hand.
Suddenly, Siddharth got a system message from Being:
"Hey son, get out of there. He is far stronger than you. You are not ready for him."
Siddharth hesitated but thought, If I run, what happens to the world? The sacrifices—my father, my friends, my teacher—would all be in vain. Could I ever face myself if I ran?
Kriti said firmly, "Don't worry, Siddharth. Let's end this together… if we are together, we can win against anything."
Their bond grew stronger, and their power level increased.
Siddharth said to 007, "It's time for round 2."
007 replied, "But you're going to die."
Siddharth instructed Kriti, "You control the legs and one hand. I'll control the other arm with Ascalon."
Kriti threw a powerful side kick at 007. He dodged, but Siddharth struck him with the Ascalon, cutting him.
007 said, "This is quite amazing. Give me more entertainment."
Both fighters suddenly felt heavier as they moved. Kriti's body started to sore, struggling to handle the Ascalon's power.
"Oh, I think my fun time is ending," 007 said, noticing her strain.
"This weaker body is more than sufficient to kill you," Kriti replied.
Kriti focused fully on Ascalon, causing it to glow intensely, though she started to faint. Siddharth hugged her from inside, whispering, "We are together… we can win against anyone."
Kriti regained control briefly, and Ascalon began to overload. She moved close to 007 and struck, releasing a massive blast.
The whole area burned in an instant. Siddharth managed to create a shield, reducing the impact, but Kriti received burn marks on her hands and legs.
After the attack, Kriti couldn't stand, her eyes heavy, but she saw 007 dead, a look of relief on her face, and fainted. Siddharth also fainted.
In that moment, Siddharth met Being.
"You know the risks in this world," Being said.
"If you leave your family, the threat to your loved ones decreases. Otherwise, they die far earlier."
Siddharth understood, nodded, and went with Being to train.
Kriti woke up in the hospital and saw Alakh.
"What happened to you, sis?" Alakh asked.
"Where's Siddharth? Where is he?" Kriti asked, shocked.
"I don't know. I only found you there," Alakh replied.
Kriti noticed the date—29 March 20XX. She had been hospitalized for a week. Exhausted, she fainted again.
Meanwhile, Siddharth trained with Being, thinking, It's good for you, my love.
Kriti returned to normal life, her friendship with Alakh growing stronger. Every morning, she woke hoping for Siddharth's return, counting the days:
Day 1… Day 36… Day 65… Day 198… Day 365… Day 730…
She waited two years for Siddharth.
On March 20, 20X2, suddenly, the people of Pratap Vihar started moving strangely, as if possessed, and began attacking each other.
Siddharth noticed this and thought, Something dangerous is coming to my city…
