As Gento activated his dojutsu-
The state of his body instantly returned to what it had been five seconds earlier.
The sluggish sensation brought by the sealing vanished in a blink.
The Four Symbols Seal on his body collapsed and dissipated.
The chakra within him began to flow once more.
The next moment–
Susanoo was activated!
A yellow giant appeared out of thin air, enveloping him whole.
Danzo's kunai stabbed forward, but could only strike the hardened shell of Susanoo, producing a sharp clang.
"What?!"
Danzo's pupils shrank sharply, his face filled with shock.
He had clearly seen the Four Symbols Seal completed with his own eyes!
That brat should have had his chakra fully sealed!
How could anyone break free from a seal on their own?
But there was no time to think.
With a wave of Gento's right hand, five iron rings flew off his fingers, rapidly enlarging midair as they shot toward Danzo's limbs and neck!
The distance was too close.
Danzo only managed to raise his hand to knock one of the rings aside.
Clang!
With a crisp sound, that ring was deflected away.
But the other four rings had already accurately latched onto his arms and legs.
Danzo instinctively tried to break free, only to find that the more he struggled, the tighter the rings became, locking onto his joints and rendering him unable to move.
The ring that had been knocked away curved midair and flew back again.
This time, with his limbs bound, Danzo had no strength left to resist.
The ring locked precisely around his neck.
In an instant, Danzo's body froze in place, utterly beyond his control.
Gento walked up to him and calmly gave the order:
"Order Root to cease resistance!"
A trace of confusion flashed through Danzo's eyes.
What nonsense was this brat spouting?
How could he possibly cripple himself?
Yet in the next moment, his body moved on its own.
He raised his hand, pointing at the Root Ninja present, his mouth opening by itself:
"You all, immediately cease resistance!"
The moment these words came out, the Root Ninja present all showed expressions of shock.
Danzo himself felt a bone-chilling terror!
What was going on?
Why was his body no longer obeying him?
While the Root Ninja hesitated, the Uchiha clan members on the perimeter had already rushed forward.
Fugaku led his people in subduing all the stunned Root Ninja, disarming and binding them in one smooth sequence.
Danzo looked at Gento in horror:
"Th-this… what is this thing?!"
He no longer hesitated and immediately tried to activate Izanagi.
However-
"You are not allowed to use any ninjutsu."
Gento's calm voice rang out.
The thought of activating Izanagi in Danzo's mind vanished right in that instant, as if it had never existed.
His whole expression changed.
At this moment, the entire scene was all under the control of the Uchiha.
Kushina rushed to Naruto's side, trembling as she picked him up.
She checked his breathing.
Thankfully, he had only fainted.
She held her son tightly in her arms, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
All the Root Ninja were bound firmly, crouching on the ground, unable to move.
Gento walked up to Danzo and continued issuing orders:
"Remove the bandages on your body."
Danzo tried to resist, tried to keep his mouth shut-
But his body did not obey him at all, obediently raising his hand to first remove the bandages on his face.
As the bandages fell, they revealed a lifeless right eye.
Next, Danzo removed the bandages on his arm.
Layer after layer of bandages fell away, revealing the pale and grotesque arm beneath.
Everyone present, upon seeing the appearance of that arm, sucked in a cold breath.
On that arm, there was actually a human face growing from it!
Even more horrifying, from the wrist to the shoulder blade, nine Sharingan were embedded densely along it!
Those eyes were all open, their pupils rotating, eerie beyond measure.
Gento's voice turned cold:
"The Sharingan on your arm… where did they come from?"
Danzo desperately wanted to keep his mouth shut, to deny it.
But his mouth opened on its own:
"These Sharingan… were obtained by ordering Root Ninja to assassinate Uchiha clan members who were out on missions. Their death reports were all written as 'mission failure, killed by enemy village ninja.'"
As his words fell, the expressions of all the Uchiha present changed.
Anger.
Uncontrollable anger.
Fugaku clenched his fists.
Shisui's gaze was as cold as ice.
The other clan members had already gripped the hilts of their blades.
The killing intent in Gento's eyes was undisguised.
He continued asking:
"What about your arm?"
Danzo's voice continued:
"This is Hashirama's cells researched by Orochimaru, transplanted onto my body. Through Hashirama's cells, I can mount ten Sharingan at once and use Izanagi."
The anger erupted at once.
"Damn you, Danzo!"
"Kill this old dog!"
"Avenge our fallen clan members!"
"Kill him! Kill him!"
The crowd was boiling with rage, curses rising one after another.
Gento raised his hand, signaling everyone to quiet down.
He walked to Danzo's side and dispelled Susanoo.
A Chakra Scalpel appeared in his right hand.
The blade flashed across.
One Sharingan was gouged out from Danzo's arm and dropped into the nutrient solution container Gento had prepared.
Danzo let out a scream.
Yet, Gento did not stop.
The second, the third, the fourth…
One by one, the Sharingan were dug out and placed into the container.
These eyes could all be sacrificed in the Awakening Chamber, helping Uchiha clan members awaken the Sharingan.
All nine eyes were removed.
Only nine bloody holes remained on Danzo's arm, while the Hashirama Cells writhed frantically, trying to repair the wounds.
Realizing that his death was imminent, the ferocity in his eyes was finally replaced by fear.
"N-no… don't kill me!"
He begged, his voice trembling:
"I did all this for the Hidden Leaf Village! For the stability of the village!"
Hearing this, Gento punched him in the face.
Bang!
Half of Danzo's face swelled, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
"For the Hidden Leaf Village?"
"Killing Uchiha who were carrying out missions for the village, is that also for the Hidden Leaf Village?"
"N-no… I can explain!"
Gento had no interest in listening further.
The Chakra Scalpel sliced toward his neck.
"Wait!"
An aged voice called out from afar.
Gento turned to look.
Hiruzen Sarutobi approached slowly with Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado, followed by a dense mass of Anbu behind them.
With a rough glance, there were at least two to three hundred people.
The Anbu of the village had likely mobilized in full force.
Seeing Hiruzen, a glimmer of hope flashed in Danzo's eyes as he cried out:
"Hiruzen! Save me!"
Hiruzen glanced at him, a trace of reluctance flashing in his eyes.
Then he turned to Gento and demanded sternly:
"Gento Uchiha! You openly attack the high officials of the Hidden Leaf Village! Are you trying to rebel?!"
Gento looked at him and suddenly smiled.
That smile was filled with mockery.
"Oh? Our Uchiha clan does intend to rebel."
He paused, speaking each word clearly:
"What can you do about it?"
The moment his words fell.
A yellow giant appeared out of thin air, enveloping Gento within it.
Right after, a purple giant and a green giant manifested as well.
Shisui and Fugaku each activated their Susanoo.
The three giants stood side by side, their overwhelming presence confronting the hundreds of Anbu behind Hiruzen.
Hiruzen's expression changed.
He hadn't expected Gento to be so unyielding, showing him, the Hokage, not the slightest respect.
Gento stepped forward and pressed him:
"When Danzo barged into the Uchiha clan grounds, where were you, Hiruzen?"
"When Danzo sent people to threaten the Fourth Hokage's orphan, where were you, Hiruzen?"
"And now that Danzo is about to die, you couldn't wait to jump out?"
He stared at Hiruzen:
"I want to ask–are all these filthy deeds Danzo committed done under your orders, Hiruzen Sarutobi?!"
Hiruzen's face turned ashen:
"You insolent brat! Don't you dare slander me!"
Gento let out a cold laugh and looked at Danzo:
"What was your purpose in coming to the Uchiha? Speak!"
Danzo struggled desperately, trying to keep silent.
Albeit his mouth opened on its own:
"The Uchiha's power has been growing too fast, already threatening Hiruzen's rule over the Hidden Leaf Village."
"I discussed it with Hiruzen–to control the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki Kushina, use that to threaten Gento Uchiha, eliminate him as clan head, and then… find a way to wipe out the Uchiha clan."
The moment these words came out, the entire scene erupted in an uproar.
Hiruzen's face turned deathly pale:
"Danzo! Shut up!"
"How can you say such things out loud?!"
Danzo looked at him in despair:
"I… I can't control myself…"
The fury of the Uchiha present was ignited at full.
"Our Uchiha have contributed so much to the village, and the Hokage wants us dead!"
"Kill them!"
"Kill Hiruzen! Kill Danzo!"
Gento no longer hesitated.
Susanoo's massive fist rose high and smashed down viciously toward Danzo!
Boom!
With a loud crash-
When the giant fist lifted, only a mangled mass of flesh remained where he had stood.
The Hashirama Cells within that flesh lost control, writhing and growing wildly. Before everyone's stunned eyes, they quickly rooted into the ground, sprouting branches and shoots.
In mere moments, a giant tree rose from the earth.
